When you write that she was a devoted wife and mother, that is a huge understatement. No one could find anyone more dedicated to the health and happiness of her family: her brother, husband, sons and my special friend Lorna. I will be there to honour a very remarkable woman.

I was so lucky to have Miss McIver as my grsde 2 teacher in 1946-47 She was sweet & kind and inspired us to enjoy our learning experience during that time.
Our family lived in Hammond for many years and we enjoyed especially our winters playing in the snow outside their house. When our son was married he & his wife lived a short while in the old house.
Please know that she touched many lives with her kindness Our deepest condolances to all of your family

I felt very fortunate to have Miss McIvar as my grade two teacher from 1946-1947 when I attended Hammond Elementary. My deepest sympathy to her family.

We are so sorry to hear of your loss. My parents, Phil and Marion Herring, loved both your father and your mother. Marion and Phil were long-time friends with both Keijo and Jean. They laughed and played together for many, many years. Special thoughts go to you from my mother for the loss of her dear friend Jean.
