Jeanne Wolhar Carroll, 66, of St. Petersburg, FL, formerly of Wilmington, DE, passed away peacefully on May 10, 2025.

Jeanne was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She is survived by her beloved husband, David Carroll; her cherished daughters, Kasey (Adam), Kimberley, and Kristen (Alex); her loving sister, Julie (Russell) LaFone; her sisters-in-law, Melissa (Dante) Cappelli and Jo-Ann Ferguson; and her father-in-law, Charles (Bill) Carroll. Jeanne was also the proud and adoring grandmother of Theodore, Olivia, and Bennett, and the beloved aunt of eight nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Lillian Wolhar Ferguson; her father, Robert Ferguson; her brother, Robert Ferguson Jr.; her stepfathers, William Wassam and Waldo Jones; and her mother-in-law, Janet Rae Carroll.

Professionally, Jeanne dedicated many years to caring for others through her work at Nurses' N Kids Inc. in New Castle, DE. She later brought joy and community to many as the owner of Bogeys Bar and Grill in Middletown, DE.

Jeanne's greatest joy came from being a mother and grandmother. She was passionate about international travel, had a refined love for fine food-both creating and enjoying it-and treasured time spent at the beach with family and friends in Bethany Beach, DE, and St. Petersburg, FL.

Jeanne will be deeply missed and forever remembered for her quick wit, laughter, and unwavering love for her family and friends. A Celebration of Life will be held on May 16, 2025, from 06:00 PM to 09:00 PM at Chesapeake Inn 605 2nd St. Chesapeake City MD. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Suncoast Hospice Foundation, 5771 Roosevelt Blvd., Clearwater, FL, or online at suncoasthospicefoundation.org.
