Mrs Inez Batson

Inez D. Batson Pickens Inez D. Batson, 88, of 406 S. Catherine Street went home to be with the Lord on November 7. She was a daughter of the late William “Bill� Dickard and Nettie Evans Dickard. Inez was a long time member of Red Hill Baptist Church where she enjoyed preparing food for many gatherings and events. Her life was enriched by her extreme love of her family and devotion to prayer. She was predeceased by her husband Charles Edward Batson, one sister and eight brothers. Surviving are two sons, Kenneth and his wife Margaret and William and his wife Judy, both of Pickens; grandsons Jonathan Batson and wife Kasey, Brian Batson and wife Tracy, David Batson; granddaughters Jennifer Payne and husband Phil, April Malone; the shining lights of her life Nathan, Trent, Brandon, Brady, Brett, Ally Grace and Trey; three sisters Kathryn Looper, Frances Barber and Gladys Owens; also long time caregivers Sue and Ken Holcombe. Funeral services Red Hill Baptist Church Sunday November 9, 2008 at 3:00 PM. Family will receive friends at the church from 2:00 to 3:00 Sunday. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park.
