Jeanne Marie Durand
May 19, 1939 - Oct. 5, 2016
Resident of Danville
Jeanne Marie Durand passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 5th, 2016 after a brief yet courageous battle with cancer. She had a wonderful and caring spirit, positive outlook on life, and was happiest spending time with friends and family.
Jeanne was born in Springfield, OH and raised in Milford, MI. She graduated Valedictorian from Milford High School and attended the University of Michigan until she married Bob Durand at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Union Lake, MI in 1961. Jeanne devoted her life to raising and caring for her family and was a true witness to the Catholic Faith and generously donated her talents in service to the Church.
She is survived by her loving husband, Bob of 55 years, and their seven children: Robert Jr., Patrick, Christopher (Lisa), Joseph II (Tracy), Kathleen (Stephen), Michael (Kim), and Charles (Tanya). She found great joy spending time with her 15 Grandchildren and was looking forward to the birth of the first Great Grandchild. She is also survived by her sister Laura Morris and brother Charles (Stan) Freville Jr.
Friends and family are invited to an evening vigil on Wednesday October 19th at 7:00 PM and a Celebration of Life on Thursday, October 20th at 11:00 AM with a reception to follow at 12:30 PM. All events will be held at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, 2601 San Ramon Valley Blvd., San Ramon, CA 94583.
In lieu of flowers a donation can be made to St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church.
