I count myself one of the lucky ones because I was fortunate enough to have had the opportunity to know Jeanne Sauer. She was one of the special ones. When she entered a room, it instantly brightened. She carried more love with her than her little frame could hold, and it constantly spilled out onto everyone she met. We never visited without laughing, and she never left without giving me a hug. Intelligent, compassionate, opinionated, and determined, she had a passion for justice and wasn't afraid to roll up her sleeves and work for it because she believed that one “old lady” could make a difference in the world. She was right. She made a difference in mine. Thank you, Jeanne.
With great love and respect,
