Jeffrey Scott Alleman

Jeffrey Scott Alleman, 52, of Kill Devil Hills, N.C, formerly of Morton, IL and LaSalle, IL passed away on Thursday, October 12, 2023, after a 5 day stay at Norfolk General Hospital in Norfolk, VA.

Jeff was born on August 31, 1971, in Peoria IL. He attended primary school in Morton IL, middle school and LaSalle-Peru High School in LaSalle, IL.

Surviving are his sons Jeffrey Jr. and Devon, his parents Jack & Bev of Morton, IL; his siblings, Shawn (Nikki), Kevin, and Sarah (Jeff). Jeff also had 2 grandchildren, 2 godchildren, 11 nieces & nephews, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Bill Korter, John Alleman, Dave Koehler, and grandmothers, Alice Pryde Alleman and Mary Korter.

Jeff lived in the Outer Banks of NC (communities of Salvo, Nags Head, Kill Devil Hills and Rodanthe) for over 25 years. Working as a Carpenter/Finisher in restoring historic homes and all types of buildings and businesses damaged by hurricanes. He helped to rebuild the same pier stretching into the Atlantic Ocean on two different occasions.

Jeff loved his adopted communities of the Outer Banks. He had built strong and lasting friendships with many people in that area. Many of his friends' children and grandchildren referred to him as Uncle Jeff or PoPaw. Our hearts go out to his adopted family members of North Carolina.

Jeff loved to play baseball and football in his younger days. More recently he could be found playing catch at the beach. He loved the ocean, spending time boating, fishing, and taking evening walks on the beach.

Jeff served his country in the US NAVY during 1988 to 1992 on the USS Acadia out of San Diego, CA. His service included time served during the Desert Storm and the Persian Gulf War.

A Memorial Service and Military Honors are planned for November 3, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at Morton Christian Church, 1001 S. 4th St. Morton IL 61550. Visitation will be at 9:30 a.m. prior to the service. Cremation has been accorded. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to
