Dr. Jeffrey B. Brown - A celebration of life service for Dr. Jeffrey B. Brown, 51, of Knoxville, Tennessee, will be held Monday, May 11 in Knoxville, TN. The family will receive friends on Monday from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Farragut Church of Christ, 136 Smith Rd, Knoxville TN 37934. The celebration of life service will begin at 7:00 pm.
Jeff was born November 17, 1963, in Davidson County, TN, to James "Buddie" and Barbara Brown. A loving father, devoted son, and trusted friend, Jeff enjoyed time with his children, traveling, cooking, and sports. He was a medical doctor and a member of the American Medical Association.
He is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents; James Hooper Brown and Ethel Ragland Brown; maternal grandparents: Isaac Perry Gipson and Rose Mae Way Gipson. Survivors include son, Conner Gabriel Brown; and daughter, Kaitlin Dakota Brown, both of Knoxville, TN; parents, James "Buddie" and Barbara Brown, of Granville, TN; brother and sister-in-law, Jim and Kristy Brown, of Granville, TN; sister, Rene Brown, of Granville, TN; nephew, Trajan Brown; and niece, Elena Brown, also of Granville TN.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to The Education Fund to Benefit Kaitlin and Conner Brown at any Suntrust Bank branch.

Jeff and I first met in the fall of 1989 when we were both interviewing for residency at UT Hospital in Knoxville. Little did I know then that we would spend countless hours working together as residents and eventually as associates in the same practice. He was a gifted physician and, most importantly, a great friend whom I will miss terribly. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family especially his children during this difficult time.

Sue and I were deeply saddened to learn of Jeff's death.Jeff was a very talented,resourceful and gifted young physician with whom I enjoyed years of association first as a faculty-resident physician and then as a practice associate until my retirement. I shall miss him.

Kaitlin, Conner and entire Brown family, I'm a former L&D nurse who worked with Jeff during his residency and afterward! I struggled through many classes of these new doctors but I must say that Jeff's group was nothing but a pleasure to work with! And as tightly as you have to work in that area, you get to know these people pretty well! Jeff became a friend of mine as well as a colleague and we had been friends on Facebook recently! I think I can speak for all the "old timers" (nurses) when I say that we are grieving right along with you! Several of us had long conversation last week-laughing and crying-remembering our friend!
