Jeffrey Bucek Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on May 29, 2025.
Jeffrey Alan "Jeffro" Bucek, 58, passed away on May 25, 2025, in Mill Hall, Pennsylvania. Born on October 27, 1966, in Williamsport, Pennsylvania, Jeffrey lived a life marked by dedication to his work, deep love for his family, and an unwavering spirit of generosity.

A lifelong resident of Hampton, Virginia, Jeffrey was known for his genuine nature and kind heart. He built a respected career as a tree arborist, dedicating over 30 years to the profession. His hardworking ethic and selfless approach earned him the admiration of colleagues and clients alike. Whether scaling great heights or tending to the smallest sapling, Jeffrey brought care and precision to every task.

Beyond his professional life, Jeffrey found joy in simple pleasures and meaningful connections. He cherished time spent with family and friends-moments filled with laughter, warmth, and great music. An avid outdoorsman, he embraced nature not only through his work but also in his leisure time. Whether sitting in the sun or watching the next thunderstorm brewing it was just simply enjoying the fresh air under open skies, he found peace in the world around him.

Jeffrey had a passion for smoking meats to perfection-a skill that became a signature part of gatherings with loved ones. His culinary creations were more than meals; they were expressions of love and hospitality that brought people together.

He is lovingly remembered by his mother, Milena Bucek; his wife, Sherry Bucek; daughters Megan Ruedas (Ivan) and Kristen Lochridge; son Jacob Bucek; granddaughters Kailey Lochridge, Jessa Lochridge, and Eleanor Bucek; brothers Russell Musser, Robert Hemman, Thomas Harris, and many nieces and nephews.

Jeffrey was preceded in death by his father George Bucek; brother Wayne Bucek; and granddaughter Celeste Ruedas.

May the memory of Jeffrey Alan "Jeffro" Bucek bring comfort to all who knew him and continue to inspire kindness and strength in those whose lives he touched. A Memorial Gathering will be held on June 22, 2025, 1:00 PM at Gosnold Hope Park 901 E Little Back River Road in Hampton VA along with a celebration of his life on July 26th, 2pm at the Ferguson Township Lions Club, 309 Madison St State College PA 16801 to start off the Annual State College Townie Reunion.

Jeff was a Good Hearted Person, me and Jeff started at the tree company at the same time and worked together for years on the same truck , I left the tree company to work else were but me and Jeff would see each other in passing times and would talk for a while . As a tree person myself,I know that you can´t climb no higher than Heaven. Going to miss you Bud.

Deb & I, as well as our entire family, are saddened to hear this unexpected news of Jeff's passing.
We were blessed to be neighbors for 20+ years in so many ways.
Our cul-de-sac was a special spot in the neighborhood & he & the family were a large part of its atmosphere - the new neighbors living in their old house are a far cry from being the true neighbors that he & the family were to us...

When Hurricane Isabell put a Tree thru our roof... Jeff was up there cutting it out within no time, not to mention putting us up for a couple days before repairs.
During that time we also shared whatever we could surviving that week the power was out - it had a campground feeling & we will never forget it.

As a teenager, Our daughter Jamie traveled with the family once & had a wonderful time with them in the Penn State area where he was from.

I personally enjoyed the many times we'd hang out in the garage & share stories, good music & have a few laughs... (along w/Rival Football talk).
One time it was almost morning before we knew it - but I enjoyed those casual times w/him.
Jeff was a hard worker, a good man & a very geniune person, who'd do anything he could for you & your family.

We have certainly missed him & his family as next door neighbors since they all moved - it was definately some very memoriable times over those 20-some years....
So we share in the heartfelt grief that Jeff has passed away so soon afterwards.

Much Love & prayers to Jeff's Family & closest friends from all of us at 501.

It´s never easy to loose a loved one. What carries on forever are the blessings they brought and the values they instilled in the people they touched. I didn´t get the chance to meet him but I know Jeff was a good man-walk tall for having him in your life.
