Jeffrey S. Burns

Jeffrey S. Burns, 57, Sarasota, died March 16, 2006. He was born May 26, 1948, in Bronx, N.Y., and came to Sarasota 14 years ago from Long Island, N.Y. He retired as an attorney and owned a law firm in New York. He graduated from Cornell University in 1972 and was a member of the Cornell Club of Sarasota-Bradenton. Survivors include his wife of 24 years, Dolores; his mother, Shirley of Queens, N.Y.; a stepdaughter, Dorene Bermudez of Pennsylvania; sons Brad of Queens, N.Y.; stepsons Richard Bermudez of Queens and Christopher Bermudez of Long Island; and six grandchildren. Memorial services will be later. Palms Funeral Home is in charge.
