Jeffrey Mark Carlson, age 68, passed away on Sunday, January 12, 2025, with family by his side. Born October 26, 1956 residing in Homer Glen where he also built his Victorian home in 1988. Retired from the Carpenters Local Union 1889 in 2014 after 40 years of dedicated work. Jeff then enjoyed working part-time at Lockport Golf and Recreation Club for the past several years.

Jeff was a loyal, creative, resilient, and hard-working man with one heck of a sense of humor. He was most passionate about spending time outdoors, taking his dog Maylee for daily runs, vacationing in Door County, celebrating wedding anniversaries in Jamaica, creating fun and silly memories with his grandchildren, and enjoying spectating adventures at Road America with his son.

Preceded in death by his parents Daniel and Evelyn Carlson and brother Wayne Carlson. Survived by his loving wife Colleen (nee Cronholm) of 46 years; his devoted son Kyle (KT Tarrant) Carlson; cherished daughter Taylor (Landon) DeSandre; his two adored grandchildren Colton and Lincoln; his two admired sisters Judi Fronek and Kathy Carlson; and many nieces, nephews, and extended family.

There will be a 'Celebration of Life' on Saturday, February 22, 2025 with visiting hours from 2pm until 6pm at The Lockport Moose Lodge, 118 E 10th St, Lockport, IL 60441.

From the time Jeff got out of his car at a job site he instilled a positive attitude toward the next 8 hours . Apprentices, journeymen and foreman all were enthusiastic about the day they were going to have . He insisted that we have a great time no matter what tast we were handed. And he delivered. A great carpenter but better human being. Love you Jeffrey.

I wish to offer my deepest sympathy to Colleen and the entire Carlson family. May the Good Lord give you strength and courage during this difficult time.
Jeff was a great teammate, classmate and friend. We spent countless days together on the baseball fields in Lockport playing in Little League, Pony League and at LTHS. He was an outstanding shortstop with a gun for an arm. He could play the game, a true natural.
Although it had been over 40 years since we last spoke, it seems like those good times together happened only 2 or 3 weeks ago.
May you Rest in Peace Clue! Somewhere in heaven there's a team looking for a good shortstop.
