Jeffrey Charles Gordon, age 51 of Easton, CT, beloved husband of Catherine Gordon, passed away Friday, May 10, 2013 in his home. Born in Noblesville, IN the son of the late Steve Gordon and Rita Gordon of Anderson, IN, he had been an Easton resident since 2001. Jeff grew up in Anderson, then lived in Indianapolis prior to relocating to Connecticut. He graduated from the University of Indianapolis with BS degree in Accounting. He was a Certified Public Accountant and currently served as Senior Vice President of Finance at Swiss Re in Armonk, NY. Jeff loved life, especially time spent with his family and friends. Survivors in addition to his wife Cathie and mother Rita include three beloved children, Jacob, Stephen and Rita Gordon of Easton, CT; two step-children, Jennifer Stagon and her husband Stephen of Stafford Springs, CT and James Hacker, his wife Brittany and their children, Arabella and Jamison of Reno, NV; a brother, Joseph Gordon and his wife Margaret of Chesterton, IN and a sister, Joni Deiters and her husband Tom of San Diego, CA; seven nieces and nephews and many aunts and uncles. Friends may greet the family Thursday, May 16, 2013 from 3-7 p.m. in the Spear-Miller Funeral Home, 39 South Benson Road, Fairfield. A service to celebrate Jeff's life will be held Thursday at 6:30 p.m. in the funeral home officiated by the Rev. Tom Wantond. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Joel Barlow High School Booster Club, 100 Black Rock Tpke., Redding,. CT 06896. Jeff was a friend, a mentor and just an amazing person overall. He loved life and enjoyed every minute to the fullest. His smile, his laugh and his positive energy was contagious. It was my privilege to work with Jeff at Swiss Re. I do miss him.
