Jeff my high school buddy and for years was my best friend! We would cruise all over Michigan and Ohio! Jeff loved to drive he once drove us to Twinsburg Ohio, then to my home town of Akron ohio! All of this in his YELLOW VW wagon! Oh what great times we had sleeping in that car ! Sarcasm! Jeffs dad Hank and my dad Smitty drove for Roadway Express for many years! I remember the time jeff helped me clean my basement and we hauled all that stuff to a undisclosed dumpster, unknowingly left some of my mail in the dumpster and the dumpster owner called me to remove the trash! Otherwise he was gonna call the authorities. Jeff quickly pick me up and he volunteered to go in dumpster first! I will never forget the lengths that Jeff would go to help me! What a great friend! I learned of your passing because i was trying to get in touch with you and chat for a bit! What a sweet and gentle soul my friend was! I am saddened to learn about your passing my friend!
Jeffs mom Bev was the cool neighbor hood mom! Jeffs dad Hank was very cool also....what he had on TV at dinner time was not the nightly news, if you know what I mean!Jeffs sisters were very cool to! God bless you buddy you are missed! Godspeed my friend!

Dear Janice & Dawn, I'm very sorry to see this obituary about your brother Jeff. He and I met when your father (Greg Nanks father as well.) got transferred and they moved to Temperance, MI. Jeff lived in my neighborhood and we were good friends. Jeff was very artistic and we all loved being outdoors. Pickles, his pet beagle was always paling with him. Your parents were lovely people (I so enjoyed your mother) and I remember when both of them passed away. Peace be with you all and god speed Jeff!
