Jeffrey L. Nash, known affectionately as "Punty," passed away unexpectedly on September 21, 2024, at the age of 46, in Utica, New York. Born in New York on January 22, 1978, Jeffrey grew up in a lively household and graduated from Proctor High School.

Those who knew Jeffrey will remember him for his radiant smile and his willingness to lend a hand whenever needed. He was a devoted fan of rapper Nas and R&B singer Tony Braxton. A unique and endearing habit of his was carrying peanut butter cookies in his pocket, a treat he was always ready to share.

Jeffrey leaves behind his mother, Michele Barber, and a large loving family including his six brothers, Joseph, Jason, Joshua, Joel, Jeriah, and Jonathan Barber; four sisters, Lekita Stenson, Nikki Ashley (Jerome), Tara Mason (Michael), and Elsie Barber. He was a proud father to his two daughters, Jyra and Miracle Nash, and his son, Jeffrey L. Nash Jr. (Ya'Niyah Nash). His joy was multiplied by his three grandchildren, Ja'Kyhi Nash, Kayden Jackson, and Jalani Nash, alongside numerous nieces and nephews. Jeffrey was preceded in death by his father, Jeffrey Barber.

The funeral services will be held at Heintz Funeral Home, located at 408 Herkimer Rd, Utica, NY 13502. On October 3rd 2024 between hours of 10am-12pm The Heintz Funeral Home of Utica, New York, is assisting with the arrangements, ensuring that Jeffrey's family and friends can gather to honor his memory and celebrate his life.
