The Scissons Family,
I want to take this time to express our condolences and deepest sympathy to you and yours in this your time of loss. Jeff was an extraordinary man whose courage and determination is a lesson to us all. He was and will continue to be a fundamental part of our family’s day to day lives; he was always there for us. I have no doubt that Jeff will remain a vital source of strength for all whom he touched. May his strength and unwavering grit bring us all comfort knowing he was a man all should strive to emulate. Jeff had exceptional parenting skills leaving us with extremely fond memories of him patiently playing with his boys while his and the boys eyes lit up, it was a sight to behold. The amount of people Jeff touched was evident at his wake and service; it clearly expresses a deep personal loss at his passing. We join with you in celebrating his life during which he gave and received a tremendous amount of Love. I suspect his good nature, the love he so unselfishly gave and his contagious smile will fill us with a sense of joy forever more. Jeff’s legacy will live on through the lives of his three beautiful boys. Although we will miss him dearly Jeff will live on in our hearts and minds forever. May God Bless you all!

I still remember how happy he was that he got to be home for Christmas and see his boys at hockey. Everytime we talked about his kids and family, his eyes became bright and optimistic. From the moment I met him, his smile was contagious and how quickly he fit in with your family and friends. I remember the part in the poem "Footprints" where a man asked God "If you were with me all the time, then why are there only one set of footprints at times?" God answered "those are the times I carried you, my friend." I went to St. Mark's with Jeff from Grades 7-9, if memory serves me correctly, we had homeroom together during one of those years but never really hung out as friends. 20 odd years later when I was introduced to Facebook, Jeff added me to his Long List of Friends, just shows what kind of person he was to add someone he barely hung out with but remembered who I was.
