Jeffrey Voss Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Apr. 20, 2024.
Jeffrey "Jeff" R. Voss, 60, passed away on April 15, 2024, in Waukesha, Wisconsin. He was born on June 15, 1963. Anybody that knew Jeff would say he was a kind-hearted sole with an infectious smile.

Jeff worked at Oberlin Filter for 40 years as the lead design technician. He controlled all current project information for manufacturing, managed all aspects of parts and assembly drawings for the shop, and oversaw information and drawings on new products and design improvements. In his free time, Jeff found joy in the simple pleasures - from the rush of the wind during rides in his slingshot, to the tranquility of fishing, the thrill of racing, and the love of grilling and camping. Above all, he adored his loyal dog Willy, who was a constant source of companionship.

He leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories to his daughter, Victoria (Kyle) Jacobson, grandson Colton Jacobson, brother Ervin Voss Jr., sister Sharon (Sheldon) Doud, brother Dave Voss, niece, nephews, and his beloved partner, Cheryl Yoss. Preceding him in death were his parents, Betty and Ervin Voss.

Jeff's wishes were to not have a service. A celebration of his life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family invites those who wish to honor Jeff's love for animals to make a donation to the Waukesha Humane Society.

Jeff's warmth and kindness will be profoundly missed, but his spirit will continue to inspire all who knew him.

I´m at a loss for words. Although I have not seen Uncle Jeff in recent years, I will always hold special memories from my childhood close to my heart. From weekend cookouts by my parents to six flags to going to his friend´s campground. Not to mention all those huge bonfires for Victoria´s birthday. He truly was a kind soul and I can still remember his smile and laugh to this day. He will be missed greatly.

Jeff was the best tag along little brother we had. You always made the world a kinder place. Heartfelt sympathies to your entire family.

I have a lot of fond memories of Jeff from my younger years. As a young child I remember Jeff slightly tormenting my brothers and I from the shocker he always had in his hand to the monster in the basement to him keeping me safe from the big bad wolf across the street in the woods by grandpa´s house on his mini bike. I also remember walking down to the hales corners dirt track, him giving me one hell of a ride in his mustang, and maybe a few drinks at Romey´s. Long live the big bad wolf! Jeff will be missed.

Some of the best times I remember having with my dad is when he would take me fishing and camping at his friends campground, I will cherish those memories forever. I will miss you very very much, love you.
