Jen Cyran Lee Wong

Jennifer Cyran Lee Wong AKA Jen Chapman (Christopher former spouse) departed for her heavenly home on June 27, 2025. Jen was born to Susan and Cyran Wong in Emporia, VA on February 17, 1980. She was the beloved mother of Malana (Lana) Christina Ho'Okoni Wong Chapman, Middle River, MD and Miles Christopher Cyran Chapman, Minneapolis, MN. Her Father, Cyran Lee Wong, Freeman, VA, predeceased her as had both of her grandmothers, Sally Jean Grizzard, Emporia, VA and JoAnne S. Byrum, Suffolk, VA. Her grandfathers, Franklin F Grizzard, Sr., Emporia, VA., Walter J Podruchny, Sr, Yale, VA, and Ah Ching Wong, Maui, HI also predeceased her. Left to cherish her memory are her mother, Susan Hensley, Yale, VA (Charles), sister Kapunahele Wong (Richard F Spears) and their son, Kahekili Spears, brother Jason Wong, Skippers, VA and stepmother Anita A Wong, Skippers, VA. Numerous uncles, aunts, and cousins are also in deep mourning at Jen's untimely passing.

She lived in Panama prior to the overthrow of former dictator Noriega where she attended Department of Defense Schools. She attended the Governor's School of Art, Norfolk, VA, and later graduated from Sussex Central High School, Sussex, VA and then attended art school at Virginia Commonwealth University, Richmond, VA.

As a military wife/Mom, Jen homeschooled her children and served as their soccer coach. She was a great Mother who loved her children with her whole heart. They are heartbroken without her but know one day they'll be reunited. Jen was an avid gardener and a lover of all animals especially her dogs, cats, and chickens. She loved cows and yearned to one day have a calf or a "baby cow" as she called it. Jen was sweet and kind and much loved. She was also the best caregiver ever to her grandfather Walter J Podruchny, Sr for four years. She will be incredibly missed for the rest of our lives.

A Celebration of Life for Jen will be held in August.
