Jennifer Elliott Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Jun. 1, 2023.
Jennifer Hope Elliott, aged 59, peacefully passed away on November 15, 2022, in Northridge, California. She was born on July 11, 1963, in Panorama City, California. Jennifer was a person of extraordinary character, with an innate kindness that was evident to all who knew her. Her selflessness, fun-loving nature, and unwavering support and encouragement were cherished by many.

Her education both in academics and in faith began at St. Didacus School in Sylmar, CA. She graduated from Bishop Alemany High School in 1981, attended Los Angeles Valley College and went on to earn a Bachelor's degree in History from California State University, Northridge.

Not only a student there, but Jennifer had a remarkable career at California State University, Northridge for over 34 years; having served both the English Department and Religious Studies Department. Her unwavering professionalism, dedication, and commitment to excellence were an inspiration to all her colleagues. Jennifer was a respected member of the community, known for her tireless work on numerous boards, councils, committees, and unions.

Jennifer had a passion for the arts and was an avid collector of music, movies, TV shows, and books. She was a proud Angeleno, and her love for the city of Los Angeles knew no bounds. Jennifer was a person of great depth and character, a true reflection of the values she held dear.

Jennifer is survived by her brothers Jim (Laurie), and Jonathan; her sister Angela (Paul); several nephews, nieces, great-nephews, and great-nieces; and dear, longtime friends. She was preceded in death by her father William (2005), mother Dorothy (2013), and sister Evelyn (2016).

A Celebration of Life Mass will be held in the chapel at San Fernando Mission Cemetery & Mortuary on Tuesday, July 11, 2023, at 11 am. This date is significant as it would have been Jennifer's 60th birthday. All who knew her are invited to celebrate, share memories, and be welcomed by her family and friends.

Jennifer was a remarkable person who touched the lives of many. Her memory will be cherished forever, and she will be deeply missed. Rest in peace, Jen.

Six months later and sometimes I still can't believe this is real. Not a day goes by that I don't think about you, or think of something I want to tell you, or show you. I'll keep honoring your memory always. I miss you so so much, and I'm thankful we had that day together in L.A. in September...what a great day. Never would have believed it would be our last one.
Til we meet again....
"Thank You For Being A Friend."
