Jennifer Grant Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Feb. 24, 2024.
Jennifer Grant (Nelson), age 47, of Lewisville, TX, passed away on February 7, 2024.

She was a quiet person, yet always had a smile for everyone and had such a unique laugh that filled you with the enjoyment she was feeling. She didn't need to surround herself with an abundance of friends, but if you were one of the lucky ones to be called her friend you were truly blessed by her love, funny sense of humor, and devoted loyalty to always being there when you needed her. Aside from the love she shared for her husband, her greatest love was seen when she played with her Fur-babies and her nephews and nieces!

Jennifer is survived by her husband, Erick Grant; their FurBabies Winston and Georgie; mother, Dawn Nelson; father, Carl Nelson, wife Lucia; mother-in-law Deanne Hyde; father-in-law Jerry Grant, wife Marsha; siblings Tamela Davis (nieces Shelby, Megan, and Erika, husband Jerod along with great-nephews Trenton and Hunter), and Timothy Davis (nephews Chris and Cody) and sister-in-laws Rachel and Staci, along with Alex (nephew Peyton, nieces Penelope and Giselle). She is preceded in death by her twin sister, Jessica Lynn Nelson.

Jennifer (and Jessica) were born on November 22, 1976 in Little Rock, AR. She graduated Fike High School in Wilson, NC. She had a fulfilling career which began working in the childcare industry. She was currently working at the Walmart Super Center in Highland Village, TX and previously at JCPenny and Sams, where she was recognized as Associate of the Month.

She worshipped at Irving Bible Church and was very active in serving as a leader assistant over the junior and high school groups that her oldest niece was a part of during earlier years.

Jennifer enjoyed walking her dogs regularly, taking her nephews and nieces to the park, and spent lots of time researching healthy eating options.

A Memorial Service to Celebrate the Life of Jennifer Grant will be held on Friday, March 1, 2024, at 11:00am at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 703 N, Elm St, Denton, TX 76201.

Flowers are loved and appreciated, however if you so choose, Jennifer would be grateful for any contributions to be sent to Dallas Animal Services and Adoption Center, or an animal shelter in their own local community.

St. Paul Lutheran Church in Denton, TX, is assisting with the arrangements.

25 Jesus said to her, "I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die; 26 and whoever lives by believing in me will never die. Do you believe this?" John 11:25-26 NIV

Jennifer we worked together at Walmart overnight. One of the hardest shifts. You were quiet but you could make us all laugh. Breaks aren´t right without you. You are surely missed by all of us. Rest in Peace dear friend
