Jennifer Marie Hussey
Jennifer Marie Hussey, 49, of Milford, passed away unexpectedly at home on December 6, 2020. Jennifer was born May 17, 1971, to Mary Hussey and the late Donald Hussey of Milford. She resided in Milford and was a graduate of Foran High School and attended Housatonic Community College where she obtained her associate's degree in early childhood education and later furthered her education with her bachelor's degree in teaching. Jennifer was a devoted daughter, loving sibling, and a proud caring aunt with a great sense of humor and a heart of gold. She was a beautiful person inside and out and a wonderful friend who will be deeply missed.
Even though Jennifer had no children of her own, children were a huge part of her life. She was nanny to many lucky kids who were fortunate to have her care for them; she loved them as if they were her own, many to this day as young adults are still part of her life. Teaching was her passion and she was a dedicated educator and was the owner of Great Beginnings Preschool in Milford, her children were her pride and joy. Her face lit up whenever she mentioned any one of them and was so proud of whatever accomplishments they achieved. She also was very proud of her ancestry. Her Hungarian cookies at the holidays were always something we looked forward to. Being proud of her Irish Scottish Heritage, Jen was a devoted and active member of The Irish Heritage Society of Milford serving as both a Vice President and Secretary and cherished her lifelong friendships that she has made there. She was a bright light that lit up a room with her smile, laughter and her love of everything pink she truly was loved by all who knew her.
Jennifer is survived by her loving mother, Mary Hussey of Milford, whom she cared for. Her siblings, Edmund Hussey and his wife Tracy of Beacon Falls, Michael Hussey and his wife Ellen of Oxford, Marlene Russell and her husband John of Milford, and her brother Mark Hussey of Milford. She also is survived by her loving nieces and nephews, Carissa Hussey, Ryan Russell, Timothy Hussey, MaryEtta Craig, Sean Hussey, and Shaye and Brody Hussey. Jennifer leaves behind two very special people in her life whom she loved very much and who loved her with all their heart, her cousin Dana Garrow and her best friend forever Tammy OConnell.
At this time due to the Covid 19 pandemic, a celebration of Jennifer's life will be held at a later time when her family and friends can be together.
