Jennifer Heiden Loucks

Jennifer Loucks A longtime resident of Marin and San Rafael. She was born May 19, 1945 and passed peacefully on February 23, 2021. She was the daughter of Ann and Wilfred Heiden. She grew up on the Detroit River island of Grosse Ile and graduated from the University of Michigan, where she met her husband, Tom, whom she married for the first of two times, in 1967. She also graduated from Golden Gate Law School and had a California real estate brokers license. She was an accomplished benefits executive and worked for: Crown Zellerbach, Kaiser Permanente, Fireman's Fund (VP), AAA Insurance, and the Golden Gate Bridge District. After her retirement, Jennifer and Tom owned three Prudential California real estate offices. Jennifer traveled extensively, visiting Europe, the Far East, South Asia, Africa, Mexico, and Canada. She was especially fond of France, Italy, Hawaii, and Northern Michigan. She and Tom shipped their car with them on a Yugoslavian freighter from Savannah to Casablanca, and spent a year traveling from Morocco through Europe, taking a leisurely summer sail up the Dalmatian Coast to Venice and around Italy to the Amalfi Coast and the island of Ischia. Jennifer was a former board member and Chair of the Marin Community Clinics. She also supported Slow Food Marin, Hospice by the Bay, S.F. Jazz, Theater Bay Area, and Pacific Business Group on Health. Jennifer is survived by her husband, Tom; and by her Michigan nephew David (wife Karyl); and their children Erich (wife Giulia), and Nik (wife Steph); plus their families; Tom's brother Don of Phoenix; and his sister Bonnie; and husband Steve of Las Vegas. She will be cremated and there will be no services. Final arrangements by Neptune Society of Novato.
