Jennifer Frances Serpe, age 67 of Yorklyn, DE, went to be with the Lord on April 20, 2016. She was born on July 21, 1948 in Buffalo, NY to Charles and Madeline Lawrence. She graduated from William Penn, class of 1966, and from Goldey-Beacom College as a computer coder. Jennifer and Richard Serpe were married for 46 years. She worked at Coventry Health Care and Principal Health Care until she retired in 2001. Afterwards, she enjoyed working alongside her husband for Serpe's Bakery delivering wedding cakes. As the "neighborhood mom," with her generous spirit and beautiful smile she would enjoy spending time with family and friends, cooking, poetry, dancing, and travel. She was a member of the Red Hat's Society at the Newark Senior Center.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her beloved daughter, Nicole Serpe-Laird. She is survived by her devoted husband, Richard; her loving daughters, Karenina and Richelle as well as her son-in-law Michael Blaisdell. She was loved and affectionately called "Mom Mom Serpe" by her grandchildren, Tyler, Austin, and Josh, and great-granddaughter, Autumn, as well as her many dear nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her brothers, Chuck and Walt Lawrence; her dearly loved sister, Lynn Lawrence; and fondly remembered by Anthony and Mildred, Thomas and Marianne, and Dominic and Elaine Serpe.

A Mass and Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday morning, April 29 at 12 noon at St. John the Beloved Church, where she was a parishioner for 45 years, 907 Miltown Road, Wilmington, DE 19808. Visitation will be held at the church on Friday morning, prior to mass, from 10am to 12 noon. Entombment will follow in Cathedral Cemetery.
