Jennifer Lea Youmans-White, 47, of Beaufort, died Friday, July 13, 2018 in Charleston, South Carolina. Visitation is at Anderson Funeral Home on Wednesday, July 18, 2018 from 5-7pm. Funeral service will be at the Baptist Church of Beaufort on Thursday, July 19, 2018 at 2pm. She was born on April 13, 1971 in West Columbia, South Carolina and was adopted on May 28, 1971 by William D. (Bill) & Marian Bennett Youmans. Jennifer graduated from Beaufort High School class of 1987, studied Criminal Justice with a minor in Psychology at the University of South Carolina Columbia, and went to cosmetology school at the Royal Academy in Clinton, South Carolina. She worked at several salons in Beaufort before opening up Sweet Tea Salon in Port Royal in November 2015. She was a great hair stylist not only because she was so passionate about her craft but also because she was so easy to love as a person. She was a state champion gymnast at a young age and an avid tennis player over the last years. She played in several lowcountry leagues, competing in local and state championship matches. She is survived by her three daughters Tabatha Whitney White, Maren Reese Gowan, and Riley Victoria Gowan of Beaufort, her parents, brother, and many loving aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and friends. A college fund has been set up for her two younger daughters and memorials may be sent to : Marian Youmans, 105 Pine Cove Street Beaufort, SC 29902. Anderson Funeral Home and Crematory is serving the family.

My dear sweet Jennifer, I will miss you so much! I followed you to your 3rd and final salon. We shared lots of good talks...mostly upbeat! You never let this get you down and we were so confident in the outcome. However God chose you, and he took the best! My prayers go with your family as I know that God will keep watch over them until you meet again! I was so blessed with your friendship! You will be forever in my heart!

Shocked and sorry to hear of Jennifers passing. I had no idea that she was ill. I knew her from tennis and always enjoyed her outgoing and competitive spirit at playing tennis. She was always someone that I enjoyed seeing at tennis events and will miss her. My prayers are with her and her family.

Oh sweet jennifer,
My heart hurts for your family and friends.
You were one of the most up beat positive peolpe I have ever known. I was one of your clients, but after my first visit to Sweet Tea I became a friend. I know you are running all over heaven sharing your love and joy with everyone. You will be truly missed but never be forgotten. You have left footprints on many hearts including mine. Your words of wisdom and kind words will say with me forever. Thank you for being you. I will miss you.
