Jennifer Zachariah Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Mar. 20, 2024.
Jennifer Lynn Zachariah of Clermont, Florida, passed in her sleep during the early hours of Wednesday, February 14, 2024. She was 38. Jennifer slipped her earthly bonds and eased away unexpectedly from a chronic debilitating illness and was welcomed into the loving arms of her heavenly Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Born to SMSgt (Ret) John and Kathy (Drake) Zachariah she traveled the world extensively before coming to Florida in 2015. Prior to her illness, Jennifer attended Delaware Community College earning a certificate in Massage Therapy, eventually starting her own Spa. But her one true talent in life was photography. Learning her craft in high school she honed her skills as a portrait photographer for over 20 years and was employed by several of the nation's premier photo studios.

A lover of all animals she was steadfastly attached to her mixed border terrier Pookie whom she delivered in her lap on the way to the vet. She was known for her pleasant and cheerful personality and was much admired for her gift of encouragement. She will always be a blessing to all who knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents Roy E. and Delores (Dyer) Drake of Shiloh, OH, and her paternal grandfather Norman E. Zachariah of Ashland, OH. She is survived by her parents John and Kathy (Drake) Zachariah of Clermont; an older brother Jake of Highlands Ranch, CO, a nephew Preston Tripp-Zachariah of Clermont; her paternal grandmother, Joan (Kelly) Zachariah of Ashland, OH; as well as extended family and friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held on March 23 at 2 pm at Faith Wesleyan Church 3501 N. Florida Avenue in Lakeland, FL 33805. In lieu of flowers please make charitable donations in her name to 1 Lucky Dog Rescue P.O. Box 171425 Hialeah, Fl. 33017.

These are just pictures of us from a time we spent together. I've known her since 2012 .. She was my sister and my best friend I will miss her forever.
John and Kathy, I'm truly heartbroken hearing about this just now. I wish I could've been there when she was laid to rest. May you both find comfort knowing she was an incredible and beautiful person who touched a lot of lives. She will be severely missed.

She always made us laugh cause her laugh was contagious. When she was sitting and talking with you she was smiling and laughing. She loved her family and animals.

I remember going to New York with eugene and jennifer. We had such a great time and it was Christmas and so pretty. I think we knew all the cops in new york cause, we had jen asking them for directions. Took the ferry boat across from New Jersey . She said aunt penny we have to go see who is getting out of the limo and here it was charlie sheen. So much fun
