Jerald Cohen Obituary

Somerville Jerald S. Cohen 84, died October 30, 2015. Jerry was born in Brooklyn, New York and formerly of Somerville and Bound Brook before moving to Greenbrook in 2011. He was a cook for various local restaurants, including the Bound Brook Inn. Jerry enjoyed his pets and especially loved house rabbits. He will be missed by his family and friends. He is predeceased by his brother Edward who passed away in 1997. Surviving are his brother Larry and his wife Joan Appell, a sister Marylin Herschler and her husband Tom, two nieces Daria and Michele, two great nieces Lauren and Abigail, and one great nephew Aaron. Graveside service will be private at the Temple Sholom Cemetery in Bridgewater. Arrangements are by the Bruce C. VanArsdale Funeral Home, 111 North Gaston Ave. Somerville. Donations can be made to the Cancer Institute of New Jersey, 195 Little Albany St, New Brunswick, NJ 08903. To send condolences to the family, visit www.brucecvanarsdalefuneralhome.
