Jeraldine Morgan

SALTVILLE – Jeraldine Helton Morgan, 72, loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister, went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Tuesday, May 9, 2006.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Wes and Syble Helton, and four brothers, Bill, Frank, Harold and Alvis Helton.
She was a member of the First Christian Church and served faithfully as deaconess and Sunday School secretary for many years. She spent her life giving to her parents, brothers, sister, husband, daughters, grandchildren and her friends. She was a very special lady to all who knew her. Jesus said, "Jeraldine, your mansion is ready."
Survivors: her loving husband of 48 years, Don Morgan; two daughters and sons-in-law, Sarah and Billy Owens and Lisa and Joe Collins; one sister and brother-in-law, Mona and Carl Barbrow; three brothers, Charles Helton, Earnest and wife Minnie Helton and Johnny and wife Patsy Helton; four grandchildren, Hillary and Rachel Collins, Savannah Greer and Donna King; three great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Geneva Helton; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Mrs. Morgan will be conducted at 8 p.m. Thursday, May 11, 2006, at the First Christian Church in Allison's Gap, with the Rev. Jerry Williams officiating. A graveside services will be conducted Friday at 4:30 p.m. in Mount Rose Cemetery.
Pallbearers are Don Smith, Jack Barbrow, Mike Fritts, Al Crane Jr., Dwayne Barbrow, Tim Rice and Tim Collins.
The family will receive friends Thursday from 6 until 8 p.m., just prior to the funeral service. The family would like to extend a special thank you to all the doctors and nurses on the fourth floor of Bristol Regional Medical Center for all the special care they gave to Jeraldine and her family.
