Jeremy Davis (Vyne) Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Sep. 18, 2023.
Jeremy R. Davis (Vyne), born on January 26, 1985, in Syracuse, NY, left this world on September 15, 2023, leaving behind a legacy that touched the hearts and minds of all who had the privilege of knowing him. He was a beloved son, brother, uncle, and friend to many, and his passing has left a void that will be felt deeply by those who cherished him.

Jeremy's journey began at Thomas J. Corcoran High School, where he graduated in 2004. From an early age, he displayed a profound love for the arts, especially drawing. His ambition was to become a cartoonist, and his creative spirit was evident in every stroke of his pen. Drawing since the tender age of three, Jeremy never ceased to express himself through his art.

But his interests spanned far beyond the world of art. Jeremy was a renaissance soul, with a deep passion for science, literature, fantasy, and role-playing games. He had a remarkable intellect, speaking with a vocabulary that reflected his keen mind. He was an avid reader, finding solace and inspiration in the pages of countless books. His favorite movie, "The Labyrinth," was a testament to his love for the whimsical and imaginative.

Jeremy was a martial artist, a mycophile who appreciated the beauty of fungi, and a music enthusiast who found joy in dancing to its rhythm. He celebrated his uniqueness, embracing the label of "weird" with pride and encouraging others to do the same.

Throughout his life, Jeremy experienced both love and heartbreak, but he always left an indelible mark on those he encountered. He was a man of deep remorse and a strong commitment to righting his wrongs. He never judged anyone and had a profound love for the Earth, recognizing the importance of preserving it for future generations.

In a world where comfort often took precedence, Jeremy reminded us all of the dangers of its pursuit. One of his quotes, "The biggest threat to mankind's continuation is its endless pursuit of comfort," reflects his deep concern for the future of humanity.

Jeremy was a man of substance who never indulged in drugs, preferring to immerse himself in the wonders of life without artificial distractions. He had a unique talent for crafting art from mushrooms, even creating intricate necklaces from these natural treasures.

Jeremy possessed a remarkable ability to create and tell stories from the depths of his imagination, captivating those fortunate enough to listen. His storytelling prowess was matched by his photographic memory, allowing him to recall and share vivid details of his experiences.

Though he never learned to drive, Jeremy had a deep love for walking, experiencing the world at his own pace. He was recognized by his scruffy beard, glasses, and his robust yet gentle demeanor-a big guy with a heart overflowing with love.

Jeremy R. Davis (Vyne) is survived by his loving family, including his parents, Patrice Papazides and Steven Papazides, his sister Krychelle (Krys) Davis and her partner Ronda Williams, along with their children: niece Lucy, nephew John, niece Kelly, and nephew David. He is also remembered by numerous cousins, aunts, uncles, and cherished friends like Nathan Kay and Meshari Alnouri, and his devoted roommates, Jason Clement and Rebekah Froehlich, who were fortunate to be a part of his life's journey.

In Jeremy's memory, let us celebrate the uniqueness that defined him, embrace our own quirks, and remember his profound wisdom. His legacy will continue to inspire and uplift those who had the privilege of knowing him, and his art will forever serve as a reminder of his boundless creativity.

Rest in peace, Jeremy R. Davis (Vyne), your spirit will live on in the hearts of all who were touched by your presence.

Jeremy was one of the most kindest souls I have ever met. There were no qualifications or impressing needed to become his friend. All he asked was for you to be you and that was all. I will always remember the long walks Jeremy, Nathan, and I would take. Walking for hours and creating stories wherever we were. This world is going to miss someone special like Jeremy.

Jeremy loved to take me to the park as a kid; he often pushed me on the swings, slid down the slides with me, and chased me around the park. We spent a lot of time together, especially when I was younger. When my father moved and I started visiting on weekends, Jeremy found out where we lived after the move and started to surprise me with random visits; we'd sit in the living room and play games on the Nintendo 64, sometimes he'd watch me play Mario 64 then jump in to help on the harder levels. We'd secretly feed my dogs some treats whenever my dad wasn't watching. We both shared a love for art, he gave me advice and encouragement in my talents. He always taught me to stay my weird self, to never change for anyone. Most importantly, he taught me that it was okay to express myself through art. He will be dearly missed, and his passing has left a major hole in my heart. He joins our grandfather, grandmother, uncles, aunts, cousins, and my dad, his uncle, in heaven. I love you and I miss you so much already, Jeremy. - your favorite little cousin, Geri
