Jerry's mother Bette and my mother Lestelle Ward were best friends. After we moved to Hawaii in 1951, Bette and Jerry followed. He was my best friend as a kid in Hawaii, but I moved back to the mainland. He was super conscientious and on visits I followed his rapid advancement in HPD. My deepest sympathies go out to Nena, Bud and the rest of his family.

Our deepest condolences go to the entire family. I met Jerry when the X-Solo Bikers came for their annual Big Island of Hawaii Run. I always admired Jerry's unique posture on his bike and enjoyed his presence whenever we rode together. He was a very caring person to everyone that he met. Jerry, thanks for the memories.

To the Postmus Ohana,
I worked with Jerry when he was a Sergeant and then Captain in JCPD. He was a very good police officer and respected by all knew him. He was always upbeat and treated his subordinates fairly. He will be missed by all.

To the family of Jerry:
I am sincerely sorry to read that Jerry passed away. You don't know who I am...I am a classmate of Jerry at Roosevelt High School. He was one of our group that met in the quad during our breaks. I think I can speak for the rest of our group...some that have passed away...that we will miss you here.
I no longer live in Hawaii.

Jeremy, a Policemans Policeman, if you know what its like to be an Officer. By the books and fair and square. Knew him several years ago and after retirement knew him as Pres of the X-Solo Bike mc club. A nice man to know after his retirement as well. Will be missed..

A long time has passed since I left HPD but I still remember hearing your voice on the radio as a solo bike officer starting your shift, and over the years recall some of the other officers relating how strong you were with the X-solo bike club. Sorry I didn't get to spend more time with you during my time at HPD.
aloha my friend
