Jerold “Jerry” Glen Rew Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Oct. 15, 2024.
Jerold "Jerry" Glen Rew went to be with his Lord and Saviour October 9, 2024 after a valiant battle with dementia & heart failure. Jerry was born to Clifford "Shorty" and Violet (Cordray) Rew September 11, 1950 in Paonia, Colorado. He grew up operating equipment from an early age and continued throughout his lifetime. He married Sheila Castle July 10, 1992. Shortly after their marriage Rewco Excavating, Inc. was formed. Together they owned and operated the business until 12/31/2021 when health issues forced Jerry's immediate retirement. His nickname was "Rewco" and his passion and skill was unique and impeccable, the absolute best "dirt stiff"!

Jerry is preceded in death by his parents, sister Jeanine Rogers, brother Jace Rew and son Josh Rew.

Jerry is survived by Sheila Castle Rew, his beloved wife, children, Heather Rew Plant(Shaun), Jeremy Castle(Terri), Sharalee Rew, Bryer Rew, grandsons, Trysan Rew, Kyton Rew. Jerry is also survived by his sisters Joyce Bonato, Jacqueline Medina, many nieces and nephews and a host of friends.

Jerry's Celebration of Life will be Saturday November 30, 2024 at the Garfield County Fairgrounds (Indoor Arena) 1001 Railroad Avenue, Rifle CO at 11:00 AM. A luncheon will follow.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be sent to Abode Hospice, 744 Horizon Court, Suite 110, Grand Junction, CO 81506
