Jerome Krogman

Jerome J. Krogman, 80, of Clinton, Iowa, died Friday, July 15, 2005, at the Alverno Health Care Facility in Clinton. Mass of the Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, July 18, 2005, at Prince of Peace Parish, St. Boniface Church, with the Rev. Tom Hennen officiating. Visitation will be 3-9 p.m. Sunday at the Pape Funeral Home where a Vigil service will be conducted at 4 p.m. Burial will be in St. Irenaeus Calvary Cemetery. Pallbearers will be his grandchildren LaRee and Joshua Krogman, Brett and Krista Krogman, Amy and Stacey Voss, Shawn and Jason Rathje, and Jeremiah, Jinny, Jessica, Jacob and Julie Krogman.
Jerome was born on March 8, 1925, in Clinton County, the son of Martin and Josephine Determan Krogman. He married Geraldine Determan on June 8, 1948, in St. Patrick's Church, Clinton. Jerome farmed his entire life in rural Clinton.
He was a member of Prince of Peace Parish and the Knights of Columbus, St. Edwards Council. Jerome enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Jerome is survived by his wife, Geraldine; three sons, David (Patricia) Krogman, of Bryant, Iowa, Dan (Carla) Krogman, of Ames, Iowa, and Dennis (Deb) of Clinton; two daughters, Mrs. Sandra (Mark) Voss, of Bryant, and Mrs. Linda (Layne) Pershing, of Goose Lake, Iowa; 13 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; four brothers, Arthur (Georgene) Krogman, of Fairfield Glade, Tenn., Robert (Marijo) Krogman, and Orville (Phyllis) Krogman, both of Clinton, and Merle (Mary) Krogman, of Stockton, Ill.; two sisters, Donna Mae Burke, of Calif., and Mrs. Joan (Eugene) Kremer, of Dubuque, Iowa; and several nieces and nephews.
Jerome was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers.
