I met Jerry through his sweet wife, Glenda. She and I were in school together for years and kept in touch throughout her life. That's how I got to meet Jerry and the rest of the family -- Betsy and Jim. We went on several vacations together too. Jerry was a really sweet guy and he and Glenda made wonderful partners. One time we all went on vacation together. I miss Glenda lots and lots and am sorry to hear that you all are now missing your Dad. But then again, they are now together again in heaven! A great place to be!

Bob, Betsy and families- I have the best memories of your dad and our times together. Camping trips, scouts, being neighbors, and pretty much my whole childhood! I will cherish these memories forever and I know you will to. I still haven´t learned how to play Bridge. Love to all, Nancy Itschner Kellermeyer

Condolences to you and your family as you mourn Jerry´s passing and celebrate his life along with all the memories you hold dear in your hearts! I was looking through memory books and photos a few weeks ago and came across many photos of family times in St Louis with your family. Treasured times to remember! Love & hugs to you & your family! My thoughts and prayers are with your family, I realize it has not been easy for several years. I remember lots of good times with our families sharing a driveway, Jim & Catherine born weeks apart, and Bridge Club. Chuck, of course enjoyed Poker Club with your dad.

The first time I met Jerry was when I was dating Jim. Jerry and Glenda had came to Memphis to see Mr. and Mrs Dilling. I was extremely nervous and truth be told Jerry and Mr. Dilling put me at ease. The characteristics that I loved about Jerry was his smile, his laughter his sense of humor and he always had positive attitude. I expect the reason I was drawn to those characteristics of his is that's what people say about me my smile and my laughter. Jim always said I never met a stranger and I was always wanting to help someone and I expect Jerry was the same way. He was a great brother-in-law!
He left a wonderful legacy and will be missed by everyone he came in contact with and they will have fond memories stored in their hearts of him. We all know here on earth is just a stopping place and if we live for God then He has promised an eternal home for the people that accept Him.
To all my Bentz family I love you'all. May you find peace and comfort with those wonderful memories you have stored in your heart.
Love Stella Dilling
