March 3, 1946 - June 4, 2017 Jerry (Gerald) Bowne, a longtime Burbank resident, passed away peacefully on June 4, 2017. Jerry was born on March 3, 1946 in Los Angeles, California, the third child of Jerry and Peggy Bowne.Jerry attended Burbank public schools, graduating from John Burroughs High School, then went to Valley College where he played football, and later received his Bachelor of Arts Degree from California State University at Northridge, CA. Jerry proudly served in the United States Army and received his Honorable Discharge on October 1, 1973. He worked predominantly in the motion picture industry as a film processor.Jerry is survived by his two brothers, Larry Bowne (Donna) and Bob Bowne (Dianne), many nephews and nieces who adored him, and countless lifelong friends. Jerry enjoyed family gatherings and especially enjoyed interacting on holidays with his nieces and nephews, and grand nieces and nephews. Jerry loved sports of all kinds, singing and listening to music and he possessed a wonderful sense of humor. He was a "friend" to everyone he met, and was truly "the life of the party". He will be missed by everyone who knew him and was loved by all.

I don't remember a time that I didn't know the name "Jerry Bowne." I think we went all through school together. Although our paths hadn't crossed in decades, I'm saddened to read of his passing. Rest In Peace, Jerry. BW
