Jerry L. Franks

Jerry Lynn Franks, of Florence, Ala., was born June 17, 1949, in Lutts, Tenn. the son of the late Wilford (Bill) Lee and Myrtle Louise Holt Franks. Mr. Franks was a disabled truck driver and of the Baptist faith and died Sunday, April 7, 2013, at his home at the age of 63 years, 9 months, 21 days. Survivors include wife, Angela Camp Franks; sons, Austin Dekota and Colton Lynn Franks, all of Florence, Ala.; a brother, Jimmy Ray Franks, Lutts, Tenn.; sisters, Evelyn Ruth Luther, Lawrenceburg, Tenn., Jeanie Faye Brewer, Collinwood, Tenn.; special sister-in-law, Ailene Franks; special niece, Kathy West Montgomery; special mother-in-law, Barbara Atkinson, all of Florence, Ala.; several nieces; and nephews. Other than his parents, Mr. Franks was preceded in death by brothers, Wilford Everett and Joel Boyd Franks; nephews, Randy Franks and Timothy Brewer. Services will be Thursday, April 11, 2013, at 11 a.m. at Shackelford Funeral Directors Chapel, Collinwood, Tenn. with Ricky West and Willie Paul Kilburn officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Gardens, Collinwood, with Shackelford Funeral Directors, Wayne County, directing. Pallbearers will be Nicky Franks, Lee White, Howard Brewer, Michael Camp, Tommy Franks, and Jeremy Brewer. Honorary pallbearers will be Donnie Ivey, Nick Hinton and Josh Atkinson.
