Jerry Gibson Jr. Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Jan. 6, 2025.
Hey there! It looks like Jerry "The Life of the Party" Gibson has traded his ski boots for dancing shoes on a bigger, grander stage in the sky. On November 5, 2024, at the spry age of 57, our beloved Jerry hung up his monoski and took his final bow in Anchorage, Alaska.

Born on September 21, 1967, in the small town of Soldotna, Jerry had a vibrant spirit that could light up a room faster than a Vegas night club. He was a devoted Rams fan no matter all the years they let him down and was always a good friend and there when you needed it most. He was the guy who'd rather be jiving than driving, monoskiing rather than in a meeting, and putting on the green instead of sitting in front of a screen.

Jerry leaves behind a trail of laughter, the echo of his unforgettable one-liners and his warm smile with his signature dimple. His co-stars, Jazmin and Cody, will forever cherish their dad's impromptu performances. Dixie (the original director of his life) and Ron (the stage manager) will remember their son's standing ovations. Logan, Mason, Elsie, and Elliott (the grandkids), will miss the opportunity to see grandpa's encore presentations. His leading lady, Ri-Sean, will miss her dashing dance partner.

His supporting cast includes sisters Debbie and BJ; brothers Scott, Mike, and C; aunt Jeannette, and his understudies, nephews Michael, Travis, and Ronnie. And let's not forget his late father, Jerry Sr., step mother, Carole and brother, Ron, who undoubtedly greeted him with a script for his next great performance. Jerry's audience filled with all of his family and friends will miss him greatly.

Curtains will rise for Jerry's Celebration of Life at Pipers Sports Lounge & Dining on January 18th, 2025. Stop on by any time between 2pm to 4pm - no rush though, as Jerry always said, "I'll be there in five minutes, unless I'm playing golf or skiing, then make it an hour."

Keep your eyes on the stars; you might just catch Jerry waltzing by. He'd want us to remember: life's a party, and he's just hit the afterparty. Break a leg, Jerry-we're all applauding from the stands.

So sad to hear about my cousin. I love you all even though we don't get to see each other very much. You are all in my heart and my prayers.

Jerry was my boss when he was only 24 years old. He was a great boss and friend for many years. The world was a better place with him in it. Heartfelt sympathy to the family. I will always remember him fondly.
