Jerry Gilliam BRISTOL, Va. Jerry Gilliam, 63, also of Big Stone Gap, Va., passed away Sunday, Sept 19, 2010, at his residence in Bristol. He had lived in Bristol for the past 35 years coming from Big Stone Gap. He was formerly self- employed in the restaurant business. He attended the Suburban Christian Church in Bristol. Jerry is survived by his parents, Harold and Joneva Gilliam of Bristol Virginia; special friend, Joan Frazier of Kingsport, Tenn.; uncle, Ronald Kite and wife, Kim; aunt, Virginia Kite; uncles, Bud Gilliam and wife, Jane, Carl Gilliam and wife, Janet, Fred Gilliam and wife, Jean, Garnett Gilliam and wife, Carolyn; several cousins survive him also. The family will receive friends Thursday, Sept 23, 2010, from 1 to 2 p.m. at Gilliam Funeral Home, Big Stone Gap. Funeral services will follow in the chapel of the funeral home with Pastor Richard Pannell officiating. Graveside services will follow in the Powell Valley Memorial Gardens, Big Stone Gap. Pallbearers will be Roger Gilliam, Brian Gilliam, James Stump, Barry Bechtold, Logan Gilliam and Rick Gilliam. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Suburban Christian Church, 20290 Wood Howell Road, Bristol, VA 24202; or the Jones Animal Hospital, 603 Volunteer Parkway, Suite 1, Bristol, TN 37620.
