HALE, Jerry

Jerry Donald Hale, 78, husband of José Elisabeth Cassebras Hale, of Mt. Pleasant, SC, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, May 2, 2007. The relatives and friends of Jerry Hale are invited to attend his Mass of Christian Burial on Monday, May 7, 2007 at Christ Our King Catholic Church at 1:00 o'clock. Arrangements by J. HENRY STUHR, INC., MOUNT PLEASANT CHAPEL. Friends may call at the Mount Pleasant Chapel on Sunday, May 6, 2007 from 6:00 until 8:00 o'clock. The Rosary will be at 6:00 o'clock. Mr. Hale was born on April 18, 1929 in Detroit, Michigan, son of the late Henry Miller Hale and Beatrice Head Hale. He served his country in the United States Air Force during the Korean War and afterwards in the United States Army, retiring after 21 years. Subsequently, his long career included working as a finance manager and regional auditor for Transamerica Corporation, then supporting the United States military as a civil servant for the Army Finance Center at Fort Benjamin Harrison in Indianapolis, Indiana. In addition to being a loving husband and father, he was an avid golfer, coin collector and the recipient of numerous bowling trophies. He never lost his sense of humor, even in his final days. Mr. Hale lived in Indianapolis, Indiana, before moving to Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, to enjoy his retirement with his wife of 47 years, José Elisabeth. He is survived by his wife José Elisabeth Hale of Mt. Pleasant, SC, two sons, Frederic Hale of Charlotte, NC and Richard Hale of Kyle, TX, daughter, Linda Hale Schulze of Houston, TX and six grandchildren.
