Taken away from us to soon, Jerry Dean Huff, 68, passed away Friday August 21, 2009 in Crestline Ca in the beautiful San Bernardino Mountains. The son of Mack & Pernie Huff, Jerry was born May 7, 1941 in Seminole, Oklahoma. In 1947 moving to the San Joaquin Valley of Calif. Jerry grew up at Blaines Place in Visalia. During his high school years, the summer of 1956 he met his true love Claudia Maze. They courted and married in June 1960, moved to southern California and started their family. They raised 3 children of which Jerry was very proud. Deborah Huff of Alta Loma, David Huff & daughter in law Era McGinnis of Crestline, Karen Wilson & husband Ron of Mira Loma, all in Calif. Jerry & Claudia were blessed with nine Grandchildren & nine Great Grandchildren. Working at Merchant Metals for 42 years. Jerry hired in as a fabricator in the gate department. Moving up in departments & advancing to Operations manager. Running the plant he once labored in. Jerry retired at the age of 63. During Jerry's retirement. He spent his time with his lovely wife Claudia, their 2 dogs Sausha & PJ & cat Bandit. Jerry & Claudia lived their summers in the mountains and winters in the desert. Jerry loved football, basketball, billiards, checkers, darts & poker, all of which he enjoyed the most when he had his family & friends with him. Although his most cherished moments for nearly 50 years of marriage were with his wife Claudia. Jerry is preceded in death by his parents, seven brothers & sisters. Helen, Virginia, Norma, Joyce, Charles, Bobby & Herman & a great granddaughter Bennah Marie. Jerry is survived by his two sisters Arlene DaVault of Grass Valley, Ca. & Nancy Joos of Visalia, Ca. Memorial to be held at the home of Mike & Nancy Joos in Visalia, Ca. Oct. 3, 2009 from 3-6pm.
