Jerry Kirkpatrick Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Sep. 18, 2025.
Jerry Kirkpatrick, a lifelong resident of Syracuse, New York, passed away on September 5, 2025, after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born on December 10, 1948, in Syracuse, where he spent his entire life surrounded by the people and places he loved.

Jerry was known for his easygoing nature and gentle spirit. Those who knew him often described him as a beautiful soul-kind-hearted, warm, and always ready with a smile. His presence brought comfort and joy to many, and his memory will continue to do so.

He is survived by his devoted wife of 38 years, Mary; his beloved daughter Nikki; and two cherished granddaughters in Rochester, New York-the daughters of his late son Scott. Jerry's love for his family was unwavering, and he held them close in both heart and spirit.

A man of simple pleasures, Jerry found great joy in playing golf and trying his luck with scratch-off lottery tickets-earning him the affectionate title of "the luckiest man ever" among those who knew him best. Whether on the green or scratching off a hopeful ticket, Jerry embraced life's small joys with enthusiasm and humor.

Though cancer took him too soon and brought months of undeserved suffering, Jerry faced it all with quiet strength. His passing leaves a profound void in the lives of those who loved him. Yet there is comfort in knowing that he is now at peace-in the arms of Christ.

We miss you deeply, Jerry. May your memory bring comfort to all who knew you.
