Jerry Aldon Lint

Jerry Aldon Lint, 78, of Akron, Ohio, passed away suddenly on October 4, 2023. He was born on November 6, 1944, in Uhrichsville, Ohio. Jerry was a loving husband, father, and grandfather who will be deeply missed by his family.

Jerry is survived by his wife of 55 years, Leslie (Badetscher) Lint, his sister Beverly (Tony) Hall, his son Jeffery (Dana) VonLindt, his daughter Patricia Lint, his son Mark (Tammy) Lint, and his grandsons Aldon, Simon, Andrew, Schyler, and Jacob. He was preceded in death by his parents, F. Aldon and Thelma (Shamel) Lint.

Jerry was a graduate of Uhrichsville High School and went on to attend Kent State University. For many years he was a Medicare accounting specialist for area hospitals including Children's and Barberton. In the time since his retirement, Jerry enjoyed being active in his church and community in both Akron and Canton, always willing to go and serve with whatever needed to be done.

Jerry was kind and generous with a dry wit that was sometimes surprising. A man of faith, he exemplified humility and strength. He was a great example of how to love unconditionally. While he enjoyed spending as much time as he could with family and friends, he also enjoyed time on the deck with a cup of hot black coffee watching the birds (and squirrels). He will be missed by everyone who knew and loved him.

A memorial service will be held October 14, 2023 at 2:00PM at Relentless Church, 1878 Killian Road, Akron, Ohio. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Jerry's name to Relentless Church.
