Jerry Lee Pearson at age 77 made a peaceful transition on May 26, 2025. He was born in Humboldt, TN on November 15, 1947 to the late Samuel Pearson and Willie Mae Pearson( Davis). Jerry grew up in Gary, Indiana and briefly attended Roosevelt High School then later attained his GED. Jerry attended vocational school where he received his certification in HVAC. Jerry worked for the Budd Plant, Pearson Heating and Cooling and he had his own Independent Lawn Care Service. He loved to spend time going to the casino and spending time with Waymond, Deborah and his son Cornelius. Jerry leave to cherish 7 children: Edward, Anthony Sr.( Yolanda), Cornelius Sr.( LaTonya), Travis Sr., Shanta, Tamika and Ty won. He has twenty-six grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren. Siblings Waymond, Deborah( Bennie) Corice, Chi Vatt, Brenda, Sandra, Lorraine, Michael ( LaTrice), Brian and MaryAnn. He was preceded in death by siblings James, Bonnie, Norwanna and Kelvin. Jerry has a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Wake Tuesday June 10,2025 9:00 a.m.-11:00 a.m. Funeral 11:00 a.m. all services at Christ Baptist Church 4700 E. 7th Ave Gary,In. Interment Evergreen Memorial Park Hobart,In. Services Entrusted To Powell-Coleman Funeral Home.

Jerry was a quiet, nice neighbor, with a strong, soothing voice. He kept to himself, but was always kind, & courteous, whenever we'd see him.
The world could use many more strong quiet men, like Mr. Pearson. GOD BLESS, & Rest His Soul. And May GOD Bless, & Comfort His Loved Ones.
