Mary Higgins

Mary Sue Higgins Sept. 5, 1928~March 14, 2010 Resident of Antioch Mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother, Mary was born in Dunkin County, Missouri and moved to California with her family in 1943. She worked in a laundry, at Sear's and Fibreboard, and spent over 25 years at Crown Zellerbach supporting her family. She was preceded in death by her husband Sammie Higgins and her brother Leroy Green. She is survived by her seven sisters and brothers: Laverne Farmer of Fountain, CO; Leonard Green of Antioch, CA; Ruby Chism of Brentwood, CA; Shelba Barton of Pleasant Hill, CA; Jim Green of Dorris, CA; and Francis Douglass of Antioch, CA. She is also survived by three sons Richard Garcia of Suisun City, CA; John D. Garcia of Oakley, CA; and Lyle Garcia of Lyons, CO. She also had seven grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, March 18, 2010 at 11:00am at Higgins Funeral Chapel.
