Jesse Kernal Cline

It can be said that every soul that walks this earth leaves its mark in some form or fashion. If we are lucky, we leave enough of a ripple that it remains for ages to gently wash memories over the ones we had loved. Jesse, on the other hand, left quite a bit more than a ripple; he left a wave. Not a wave meant to just be watched roll onto the shore, but a wave meant to inspire us to say, "screw it," grab a surfboard, and joyously ride the hell out of it. This is how Jesse lived and this is how he would want us to remember him. Wherever there was an adventure to be had, Jesse was there. And if there was no adventure around the corner, Jesse created his own. To have had the pleasure of crossing paths with Jesse meant that you at least once had the opportunity to unwind, to let go, to be a bit mischievous, and to be a lot free. Through those countless people, Jesse's spirit will be fondly recounted.

But just as all waves do eventually break, all of us need someone to lean on when life isn't all fun and doesn't work out the way we had planned. Jesse loved as hard as he played, and to have had him by your side was to have had a true comrade for life. He wasn't perfect, but he was always generous and you could be sure that if you were in a bad spot, he would try his damned best to do whatever he could to help. There are few people that are as genuine and kind hearted as Jesse was, and he will be sorely missed. Through those of us that loved and were loved by Jesse, who laughed with him, argued, danced, cried, sang, walked, ran, and rode with him, through those of us that knew him best, his spirit will live on forever.

Jesse is survived by his brother, Tyler Harris, and innumerable friends. He is preceded in death by his mother, Gail Chaplin, his father, Jerome Cline, and his brother, Keith Harris. He is also preceded in death by his Grandmother, Anne Cline, who he adored more than anyone in the world. May your spirit rest happily and peacefully with G'ma. We love you Jesse.
