Jesse Mays Obituary
He was born on June 22, 1989 in Montgomery, Al to Paul and Janet (McCormack) Mays, and was a blessing to his big brother, Blake Hadley Mays.
Jesse worked at his family's business, Mays Heating & Air in Prattville, Al. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved Hunting, Fishing, Boating, ATV's, and all outdoor activities. He also had a very close and special bond with his dog Waylon. Jesse had many friends he enjoyed these activities with and has left an everlasting impact on them and many people in his community with his compassionate heart and generous nature. He was always willing to lend a helping hand to his friends and family, and even strangers he'd never met. Jesse was a beloved son, brother, nephew and friend to many and will be dearly missed.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents Simone Solange Mays, and Sr. Master Sargent Leonard Hadley Mays and his maternal grandparents Col. Lemuel Houston McCormack Jr., and Carolyn Jean (Blake) McCormack.
He is survived by his loving parents Paul Leonard Mays, Janet Michele (McCormack) Mays and by his brother Blake Hadley Mays, his soul brother John Grizzell, and his loving girlfriend Catheryn "Cat" Washburn, along with many close friends that he loved dearly and considered family. He is - and always will be loved and greatly missed.
A Celebration of Life Memorial in honor of Jesse Mays will be held on June 22, 2023 at The Barn at Twin Valley located at 139 Co. Rd. 41, Prattville, Al 36067 from 4pm -8pm.

We were at my mom's house (his Grandma Mac) in Montgomery and we were painting the house. Jesse was about 7 years old. He kept saying "wheennn we gonnnna paaaint" in his cute southern accent. We teased him about it for so long. Miss you Jesse.

Well my first memorie of Jesse Mays goes way back to probably 22 years ago. I used to go over to Dean Layfields grandmother's house out Twin Valley Farms and we used to go riding 4 wheelers with Jesse and Blake at the GL. Many of good and precious memories with the whole Mays family. Many of days and nights on the river and in the woods. Mr. Paul and Mrs. Jan was and still is like 2nd parents to me. Gone but definitely not forgotten....

My heart beaks for our family's loss. It was a privilege to get to watch him grow from a baby into a fine young man. And to see the numerous friends and family he's had come together for his family at this time makes warms my heart. They need all the support they can get as this is devastating to us all. He truly impacted so many lives. One thing we know- he was happy and doing what he loved when he passed. He will always be loved and remembered! I love you Jesse! (Aunt Cindy)
