My family (my dad , uncle, my sons Nick & Jon and I got to know Jesse at City Hall in the building permit department. He was guiding light for all of us. My boys were young and will to learn. He helped us so often and was always making sure we delivered our documents and plans correctly and to the right review people. He was very kind to my dad (ED) and Uncle Charlie he so loved CHARLIE and his stories of the past. He was a good man . I learned of his death because of the public service message. I heard his voice and turn to the TV and learned of his death. Peace to you and his family . He flys high with the Lord and I hope Charlie and my dad greeted him so
More stories could be shared.

Where do I start with my dearest friend, Uncle Grandpa... Jesse and I first met May 15, 2017 in our orientation class. He was the guy with cool hat & from that day on, was never a dull moment. Jesse always found a way to put a smile on your face. He was such a caring person & I'm truly going to miss our conversations about life in general. It just breaks my heart to know that I won't hear that infectious laugh anymore.. I'm forever thankful to have so many fond memories.. Rest in Heaven Uncle Grandpa

Jesse was a salt of the earth kinda guy - no airs. He was a great friend and neighbor. Marty and I could always rely upon him. He was so sweet and would go out of his way to show how much he cared about you. He sent me flowers after a minor surgery this year and called Marty during a difficult time recently. We have so many good memories of our get-togethers. He meant so much to us. All our love to you Linda and the family. Sue ,Jesse was a salt of the earth kinda guy - no airs. I did not know Jesse, however, reading all of these messages and memories of him, I am sure he was a wonderful person. It was a life taken unexpectedly. I do know we had one thing in common - A Love for cycling . RIP fellow cyclist.

Jesse , you really will be missed . It feels so unreal , because you unexpectedly came to visit my mom and I just a week ago , I told you I was singing in the Mexican parade and you told me to represent . Haha .I did have to leave shortly after you came over but I'm glad I gave you a really long hug and kiss on the cheek before I left . I really wish I had stayed longer because being in your presence was really amazing . You were the only of my mom's friends that I took out my guitar to play and sing for . And the song you told me to sing was Can't Help Falling In Love With You by Elvis Presley . And I swear , I've never seen someone so amazed to watch me play and sing . This isnt a goodbye , its a see you later .

Jesse was so much fun and kind and we are so in shock to hear of his passing. We will miss him and know that God is laughing at his jokes.
Thank you Jesse for being our friend.

"Jesse was one of the dearest and most generous individuals I've worked along side of in a long time. He displayed a quite unexpected sense of humor and did not hesitate to extend an offer to come along and assist, in an Inspector capacity, when I shared that I was looking to purchase a 2 or 3 flat building. He was a very genuine individual and his presence will be sorely missed in our aisle at the Chicago Housing Authority."
