Mr. Jesse James "Jimmy" Walker, Jr., 54, died Saturday (May 22, 2010) at Satilla Regional Medical Center after an extended illness. He was a native of Waycross, but he has lived most of his life in Brantley County. He retired from Waters Ford as a mechanic, and he was a member of Pleasant Valley Hunting Club. He is the son of the late Jesse James Walker, Sr. and Willie Dean Walker. Survivors include his wife, Melinda Taylor Walker of Brantley County; four children, Jamie Brazel (her daughter, Julia Brazel) of Brantley County, Bill Crawford (wife Shauna) of Waycross, Jennifer Taylor of Tallahassee, FL, and Stacy Walker (wife Shannon) of Brantley County; five other grandchildren, Matthew Davis, Bethany Crawford, Trinity Perrott, Tori Walker and Jessie Walker; and numerous other relatives. A funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday (May 25, 2010) at the Music Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Thomas Cemetery. The family will receive friends 6 until 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Sympathy may be expressed by signing the online registry at www.musicfuneralhome.com.
