My condolesences to the Wong family. I worked with Jesse when we were both young examiners at the OCC. We joined the agency around the same time so we attended many of the same training activities. My memories of him are of a very nice and gentle man. May he rest in peace and his family find peace and joy in the memories!

Dear Angel, We were most saddened to hear of Jesse's death. Though we have not been in touch over the years we have wonderful memories of a kind and fun spirited Jesse. We have remembered Jesse and you and your daughters in our daily Masses and rosaries. May God have mercy on Jesse's soul; may he gain the glory of Eternal Life. And, may Our Lady of Sorrows who knows all our pains ever be of comfort to you and your daughters. Blessings, Paul & Sylvia Valdez, Cypress, Texas

Jesse was a sweet spirit and a people person. I worked with Jesse in the OCC and always enjoyed his company. When we traveled together he was great company. He never forgot a friend and sought me out after he retired from the OCC, even though we hadn't corresponded in years. His parting seems way too soon, but God's will prevails above all else. I assume that his parting was sudden and my sympathies are shared and imparted to his family, whom must surely be shocked by his passing and are grieving terribly. It is my prayer that hIs memory will grow and be cherished and be a comfort to you all. I will miss him, too.

Jesse taught me so much during his time at USAA as my mentor, yet he taught me so much more as a friend. He was so funny, thoughtful, caring and most of all a proud husband and father. I will miss his memes, texts and jokes and of course his hugs and his smile. Jesse Wong, Heaven received a truly special angel when you went home. God Bless your family as they make their way through this journey.

Jesse was a funny, kind, thoughtful individual who had the grace and integrity of an old seasoned soul even as a youngster and young man. He grew to be an even more loving soul with the addition of his wife and children. It is this that should comfort you Angie, and the girls throughout their lives as they share in the joy of being the best part of his life and the greatest loves of his life. A truly loving soul and kind man. To have known him is to have been blessed by his kindness, humor and love. Angie, may you and the girls always smile knowing that he is with you always in your hearts and in your thoughts and that you were so loved by him. God bless you and the family as you move forward in your lives.

Jesse, we were at the airport on our way to Abu Dhabi via DC and London where we'll be boarding a Celebrity cruise ship for a 15-Night cruise ending in Singapore on January 21st.
As I was typing you a text to inform you of our trip, the phone rang and it was Angel with the terrible news that you had died. In the short time we knew you, we became close friends and bonded right away. In fact, I once told your daughter Mariana that I thought of you more as a brother than a friend. We will miss your funny texts, your friendship and your counsel. Laura and I cannot believe you are gone. Unfortunately, we won't be at your funeral in person, but you will be in our thoughts and prayers. I know St. Peter is going to welcome you in Heaven with open arms. You were a good man, a good father and an amazing friend. To borrow a quote from Hamlet: "Now cracks a noble heart. Good night sweet prince: And flights of angels sing thee to thy rest!

Angel, Elisa and Mariana we will never be able to give the right words to console you but we will pray for the Lord to carry you through this loss. You have our love, prayers and time. We will continue to pray for all of you and the rest of the family. We have so much history and wonderful memories of all the volunteer work we did at St. Monicas when our daughters were there. Jesse and Angel have always been there for their children, family and each other. Jesse was a man of Great Integrity, Honor and Service. We would talk about antiques, estate sale, thrift stores and his shop that he had. He was always looking for a good bargain and he loved finding them. We will greatly miss him; every year he and Angel along with girls would join us for a Christmas celebration at our home.

It saddened me to hear that Jesse is gone. My condolences to Angie, the girls, and the rest of the family. Jesse was an awesome co-worker; always willing to teach, support, and guide other examiners. Jesse taught us a lot just leading by example. When I met Jesse back in 1994, it felt like I had met an old friend again. He had that kind of effect on people. I will remember Jesse for all that he loved: his wife and daughters, his family, the Cowboys, collecting antiques, a good joke, his friends, the list goes on. Rest in peace Jesse. I already miss you.

May God be with you, Angie (and family) during this difficult time. My prayers and condolences are with you and your family. While it may be difficult to accept that Jesse has interred eternal life, he will be remembered for his love of his family, many good deeds, and friendships accomplished during his life. I know he was a good husband, Father and remembered as a good friend to many.

JW - when we first met years ago, you were my mentor and taught me things like how to do a CRA and Fair Lending exam the right way.
Over time, you taught me other things like life lessons, fishing, the secret to marriage, and how to spot valuables at garage sales. You always remembered the little things like my birthday every year, my work anniversary, and most importantly to bring me lemon squares every time you made them because they are my favorite treat.
Im going to miss getting together for lunch, eating good Mexican food, hearing about Angel and the girls, and talking about juicy chisme.
JW - you have forever touched my life. I am blessed to have known you and will forever remember you and the joy you brought to me and CZ over the years.

I don't know of anyone who did not think highly of Jesse. He was always friendly and helpful whenever possible. I last saw him at our Central Catholic reunion, having no idea that we would not get together again in the years to come. May God's blessings be with him and his loving family while we all adjust to his passing to the Glory of God.

Jesse was just a great person. Our personalities clicked from the first day I met him. He made you feel as if you and he were the only two people in on the joke. My most memorable times working with Jesse was in Oklahoma. When Jesse and I were on assignment in Corpus Christi, he taught me how to fish. At lunchtime, I would go with him when he visited the local antique and flea market stores. I know how much Jesse loved his family.
Jesse was one of a kind. I will miss him. My prayers to Angel, Mariana, and Elisa, and to the entire family.

Oh Angie, my heart hurts for you and the girls. Jesse was a good man and a good friend who always made me laugh. We were texting about our Cowboys just a couple of weeks ago and as usual he had something clever and humorous to say. He was one of the first people to welcome me to the OCC in 1985 and I still remember our first after hours chat. Yes, I really do. He made people feel special, he cared, he had a terrific memory and a unique sense of humor. I loved the way he would make a joke or funny comment with a straight face and then wait until people got it. Some didnt, and he would grin and laugh with that twinkle in his eye and make me laugh even more. He seemed to always have this expression on his face that he knew something you didnt, or wanted to tell you a secret, and then he would tease you with hints. I was never really sure sometimes if he was just messing with me. I loved his zest for life, his inquisitive mind for all things, his interest in rare antiques, his constant smile, and wonderful sense of humor. I still have one of his rare finds that he gave me as a gift that I keep in my office. I will miss Jesse more than you know. Angie, may God hold and comfort you and the girls during this very difficult time and provide His peace and understanding.

I got to know my friend Jesse Wong through another friend Frank Rodriguez. They both went to Central Catholic. We would get together almost every day to play football. After a while we all went our separate ways. We got together for breakfast a couple of months ago. I believe the Lord planned it that way so l could see my friend again. I know I'll see him again in heaven. To his family l want to offer my condolences and l will pray that God will give you comfort and peace .

I had not seen Jesse in many years until our most recent CCHS reunion recently. It was good to see him.
Although I only talked to him at lunch time in high school with a group of jokesters he hung around with(I started hanging around them too at lunch time), after high school we all would get together almost every Saturday night to play pool and then eat an early breakfast afterwards.
We shared a common interest in cars. I had a 1969 Dodge Charger 440 magnum RT and remember him getting a new red car. I complimented him on the car and noticed the personalized license plate when I was leaving. He had "GEETOH" on it and I asked him the meaning of it since the guys were all into Star Trek, Lord of the Rings, etc and I assumed it was a mythical character. He said "funny James" to me and I told him I was serious and he just smirked at me thinking I was being a smart aleck.
After I left I figured it out...GTO..which was the car he had gotten. I never told him.
He was one of the good ones and I was very sad to hear of his passing. I know he is up there with his family and hanging out with Mad Dog Madrigal, Joe Machado and others.

Jesse is a good friend. He always made me laugh. We were on Central Catholic's rifle team, the Bordelon Rifles, Jesse was an excellent shot. We hunted together, he was an excellent hunter as well. Jesse was an all around good person that every guy should try to be . I will miss you and regret that I didn't spend more time with you.
