Jessica Goff Obituary
She was a joy and an inspiration to all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her heart of love flowed through everything she did, and she left a lasting impression on all. Her angelic smile and warmth could light up a room, and her loving eyes seem to reach your soul. The world will never be the same in the lives of the people who knew her, but heaven has gained a most special angel. Jessica was a sophomore at John S. Battle High School.
She is survived by her parents, Duane and Julie Goff; brother, D.J. Goff, who she was so close to; grandparents, Wilbur and Jeannie Goff and Louena "Lucy" Murray; great-grandmother, Clara Sauls; several aunts, uncles and cousins, including a special cousin, Corey Oliver; and countless friends, especially her best friend since kindergarten, "Sister at Heart," Megan Haga, and her special guy, Hunter Greer.
She was preceded in death by great-grandparents, W.S. and Mazie Fleenor, and grandfather, Wiley "Poppy" Murray.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, Oct. 31, 2006, at 8 p.m. in the Weaver Funeral Home Chapel, with Pastor Bobby Wheeler officiating. The family received friends from 6-7:45 p.m. prior to the service. The graveside service will be held Wednesday, Nov. 1, 2006, at 2 p.m. at Mountain View Mausoleum.
Pallbearers will be Matt Hurt, Jeremiah Jenkins, Chris Snyder, Josh Doss, Curtis Epperson and Timmy Arnold.

Jess, hey.. Sorry it's taken me so long to sign this, but i just can't get over all this. I only knew you for a few months but you were hilarious and from what i could tell, you would have been a great friend. I still go in to U-Tan hoping to see you but you're never there and it kills me. I know you're in a better place. Everyone misses and loves you so much. You'll never be forgotten.

Jessica i know that i have already sighned this once but i feel like i didnt write enough. I cant get you off my mind i miss you so much and its hard during 1st and 2nd period not seeing you there and you not being able to tell jessie to color my hair whne we are in 2nd and i flip my hair on her desk. we had a lot of good memorys adn you were alwyas there for me and you always knew how to lighten up peoples day when there were sad or sick you always made osmeone feel better. you are missed so much and i will be praing for your family b/c i know that there going through a rough time right now. but i love you girl

When i first heard about Jessica I was so upset,I cried bascailly all night Because the last time i seen her I was at least 14. She was a terrific cousin. And it hurts a lot to know that i never got to spend as much time with her as i would have wanted too. We use to be so loud together whenever i would come over we would play with the hoolahoops in the living room and i would always looose haha.And at Christmas she would most of the time tell me what Julie got me lol i remember she would be like ''ugh ok well its something in my room'' and i would go around and name everything and she would just smile and shes like ''ok well when you open at surprise so my mom doesnt find out that i told you'' :]. She would always make you laugh she was such a sweet girl. I do miss her a lot. You never really think that something like this could happen to someone who is so full of life and so young. But it does, i really hate to question why.. but i do a lot.
I wish i could be there for everyone. :[
and D.j. im soo sorry. I know for a fact you and jess were really close you guys would always get in silly fights because you would be in your room playing race car video games and jess would be like ''why do you play that?'' lol.
we would just sit in there and watch you wreck like 549854 times.
I miss the days like that. But instead its the ones we have to remember now.

I never really got the chance to know Jessica, and I deeply regret that. She was a beautiful girl with everything going for her. I can still remember the first day of school, our volleyball coach was telling us about a gorgeous young girl she had in class this year. She explained how her eyes were captivating, and her smile priceless. Needless to say, she was talking about Jessica. Her death has impacted so many young peoples life it is unbelieveable. Though hard to understand right now, Gods plan is always for the better. Im sure Jessica looks down on all of us now as an angel, a precious one at that. I dont really know the family that well, but I will be praying for you all. Boots, I cant imagine what you are going through, I know we never talk anymore, but I want you to know Im here for you. To the Goff Family: I do not know you personally but being a parent we do have something in common. Reading the guest book has brought tears to my eyes but also joy from all the beautiful comments made by those who were priviledged to know your daughter. The Goff Family,
I am so sorry for your loss. No one deserves something like this. Jessica was a great person, she was always smiling for whatever reason. I cheered with her for the Eagles when I was in 7th grade and she was in 6th . She was so full of life and happiness. I used to work at Bellacino's and Jessica, Mom , and Dj ( brother ) came in to eat. You all were such a close and happy family. No matter what life threw at her she would take it on full speed and always with a smile. No one had anything bad to say about Jessica, because they would have been lieing! She is in God's presence now and is smiling down on us today. I just want Jessica and her family know that she was loved by many, and will continue to recieve that love. We all miss you Jessica!!

I didn't know Jessica personally, but I know that she was a BEAUTIFUL person inside and out.Everyday after 2nd period she would smile at me and wave. she was in my 5th period Geometry class. You could tell that her and Meagan were really close they were always laughing with each other. Jessica loved to laugh. she had a smile that lit up the room. She will never be forgotten.

Julie, Duane and Family, I am at a loss for words and still in shock about the whole thing as I am sure you are. She was so beautiful and sweet.
