JESSICA GROVE Obituary
Jessica R. Grove, 18 of Hampton Township, PA, passed peacefully on Friday, May 6, 2011. She was born in Pittsburgh, PA to Michael C. Brown and Michelle L. Grove of Hampton Twp., PA. Miss Grove was a Student at Hampton High School and worked at the Tanning Emporium. Jessica especially loved her four dogs but also thoroughly enjoyed shopping, traveling, the beach, hanging out with her friends and an overall love for life. She is survived by her Father, Michael C. Brown; mother, Michelle L. Grove both of Hampton Twp., PA; grandmother, Eileen Brown of Brookline, PA; grandparents, Denny (Patti Jo) Grove of Columbia, SC; and many loving aunts, uncles and cousins. Miss Grove was preceded in death by her grandfather, Ronald Brown of Brookline, PA. Visitation will be on May 9, 2011 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the HERBERT R. KING, JR. FUNERAL HOME, INC., 2841 Woodland Circle, Allison Park, PA. There will be a prayer service towards the end of evening visitation conducted by Rev. Dave Clawson. Interment will be held at a later date. Memorial donations may be sent to: the Animal Rescue League, 6620 Hamilton Ave. Pittsburgh, PA 15206. Visit:

I am so very sorry for the loss of your dear daughter. As a fellow grieving mom (of a former Hampton student) I understand what you are going through and will keep you in my prayers as you travel this terrible, yet well-worn path.

As one of Jessica's high school teachers during her junior year (for two separate classes), all I can say to her parents is that you raised her well, and she did you proud. A quiet girl in class, always respectful and attentive, and definitely a hard worker. Great kid and a wonderful person. Both she and yourselves will be in my prayers. although i never talked to you, i saw you everyday at school in the hallways, never even making eye contact with you.. i always thought you were gorgeous from head to toe.. upon hearing your loss 2nd period friday i was really upset, and it is unfair for someone so young to die so suddenly.. RIP Jessica, my thoughts and prayers go out to your friends and family <3

Jessica was such a happy young woman. She was so caring and kind, always willing to help anyone in need. She had a great future planned for herself. She is missed dearly by everyone at Hampton High School. May you rest in peace <3

Jessica was beautiful inside and out. As one of her lucky teachers, I was always impressed by her respectful attitude, thoughtful writing, and joyful disposition. I know we will all see her again some day, and until then I pray sincerely that God and time will mend the broken hearts of her dearest family and friends.
