Jessica Stewart, 39 years old, passed away at her parents’ home on February 9, 2021 succumbing to a lengthy illness. She was surrounded by her loving family.
Jessica had a heart of gold and was kind to everyone she met. A real sweetheart. She was a talented musician and enjoyed playing her piano daily until just recently. Jessica grew up in Bay Village and attended Bay High School where she excelled in music. She was a past member of the Cleveland Youth Wind Symphony and the Baldwin Wallace Senior Youth Orchestra. She attended the Berklee College of Music in Boston, then moved to New York City where she performed with several Rock Bands and played piano for many Cabaret Shows. During the day she accompanied singers auditioning for Cabaret and Broadway shows. She also assisted teaching children music at Little Maestros and a local Montessori School. Her favorite job was playing keyboards and flute for Industrial Rock Band Psychic TV for several years. This gave her the opportunity to travel and perform in many different countries.
Jessica eventually moved back to Ohio due to her illness. Her last public performance was with a group of musicians at the New Year’s Eve Party 2019 at Pickwick Frolic.
Jessica is survived by her parents, Jeff and Annette Stewart of Lakewood; brother Jeff (Suzyn) of Rocky River, sister Becca (Karl) Pangrace of Avon Lake; her grandmother, Jane Stewart of Avon and numerous Aunts, Uncles, and Cousins.
We would like to express our thanks to Hospice of the Western Reserve for their kindness and care the last 4 months.
Friends will be received at the Reichlin Roberts Funeral Home, 327 Cleveland Street, Elyria, Ohio on Friday, February 12, 2021 from 5-7 P.M. Dear Annette, Jeff, Becca and Jeff,
I was heartsick to hear the news about Jessica. Oh how I remember having her at Bay Nursery School when she was just 4. She was always such a sweet, kind child with a smile to warm anyone's heart. I watched her grow up when I taught at St. Raphael and then lost track. I heard of her musical accomplishments in high school.
My thoughts and prayers go out to you at this very difficult time. May God give you all the strength and courage you need and may you be surrounded with His love.
With love and hugs,
Karen Kozsey

I’m not certain whether or not she would remember me, as it’s been nearly a year since we’ve seen each other, but Jess was the pianist for a youth production I was in at Playhouse Square about a year ago. She probably didn’t know this, but I was going through a difficult time in my life, and yet I always looked forward to rehearsals for that production in large part because of her and her unwavering kindness to me. She was considerate and sweet to me always and I have never and will never forget her kindness and compassion. I will carry my memory of her in my heart and through my music, always. Thank you, Jess, for being kind to me when I needed it most.
Took this as she was playing in one of her videos. I hope you enjoy it.

As a member of the Gesu Parish choir in University Heights, Ohio, I knew Jessica to be an innovative and bright-spirited pianist as well as a key inspiration to our performance. We missed Jessica when she moved to New York, but we were happy to hear about her accomplishments there. I remember Jessica well, and I will cherish thoughts of her magic in bringing music to life.
Sincerely, Marc Schiavone
