Jesus Salazar Reyes Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Feb. 13, 2025.
Jesus Eduardo Salazar Reyes, lovingly known as "DK," passed away on October 8, 2024, in Phoenix, Arizona, at the age of 33. Born on February 28, 1991, in Los Angeles, California, Jesus brought joy and laughter to those around him throughout his life.

Jesus was a devoted son to Blanca and Felipe Salazar and a cherished brother to Felipe Salazar Jr., Isabel Salazar, Christina Salazar, and Daisy Salazar. He was also a proud father to his son Jonathan and daughters Analeah and Alaizah whom he loved deeply and spoke about often. His many nephews and nieces admired him deeply, looking up to him with love and respect.

From a young age, Jesus displayed remarkable athleticism. He played soccer alongside his older brother Felipe Jr., excelling as a goalie and contributing to numerous team victories. In middle school, he joined the football team and earned the Most Valuable Player award for his outstanding performance. As he grew older, his passion for adventure led him to biking with his brother. Together, they built ramps in an empty field behind their childhood home in California, pushing their limits and creating lasting memories.

Beyond sports, Jesus was a talented graffiti artist whose creativity left an impression on those who saw his work. He had an undeniable charisma that drew people in-his witty jokes could light up any room, and his cheerful spirit made every gathering more vibrant. Whether spending time with family or friends, Jesus had a way of making everyone feel special. His kindness knew no bounds; he was always willing to lend a helping hand. He spent his last several years with his sister Christina and her husband Gabriel who he referred to as a brother. His bond with his nephew Jayden was one of a kind which leaves many heartfelt memories. One could say he was Momma's boy, as she was always the most important woman in his life.

Jesus's passing leaves an immense void in the hearts of those who knew him. His warmth and humor will be remembered forever.

A viewing was held on October 21, 2024, from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Funerales Santana, located at 394 E 4th Street in Perris, California (92570). Reception at the Salazar residence.

The funeral service took place on October 22, 2024, at Perris Valley Cemetery, located at 915 N Perris Blvd in Perris, California (92571).

Jesus was and will always be deeply loved by many and will be missed beyond measure. Although he is gone here on earth, his memory continues to live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know him. His family proudly honors him and vow to keep his legacy alive.

Omg, Jesus.Middle school first love. Last time I saw you was around 2008 when you were visiting CA from AZ. Never heard from you but I always wondered what your life was like. Last night I had a dream that I was searching you up on Facebook but you wouldn´t come up, then still part of my dream, I typed your name on google and I saw the word (obituary) and your full name Jesus Eduardo Salazar. I woke up in the morning and didn´t think nothing of it but right now I had to google your name and it´s true, you gained your wings . I think somehow you came to me in my dream to let me know. Funny thing is, I now live in Perris CA. I see you are resting here. I will try and find your grave to go visit you soon. So many good memories of you in my middle school "diary" that I still have pages and pages written about you. You will forever hold a special place in my heart. May you rest in peace beautiful soul.
