The Turner Family;
How honored it was to be a part of Jewel's life for the last year and a half. I know by now that she and Don have had a long talk about what she expereinced since his death. She left fingerprints on my heart and an extra pound or two around my waist from the wonderful carmels. It was an honor to have been a part of your lives.
Just a parting story: I found out at the graveside service that she could not remember that my title was a chaplain so one day when she was asked who had been to the home to visit her she said it was her "custodian." So among her friends and uknown to me, they referred to me as "her custodian." How I miss her and our chats. I will be remembering all of you in my prayers.

I'm deeply sorry for your loss. I loved Jewel. It was truly an honor of having knowing her and taking care of her. I will miss her so! There will always be a special place in my heart for Jewel.

As many of you requested here is the poem that i wrote for the services today.
Thank you all for your love and support during this difficult time.
Although it’s hard to know you’re gone, in our hearts we will still hear your songs, Give said the little stream, Run along home & those who knew you best will always remember the Peanut song.
From your beautiful face to your bright special smile, your great big bear hugs that seemed to go on for quiet awhile. Your very special spirit will be missed far more than you will know, but what a great comfort it is to know in the end you will be waiting for us at home.
You have raised your babies, you have watched your grandkids grow; you have welcomed great grandchildren & taught them everything you know.
Your feet are tired & your hands are too. I know you have completed your mission and your time here is through. Remember we love you & our hearts will be missing you.

The memories are to numerous to list. Your special spirit will linger. In our hearts is where you now reside. As a grandma you were great, but, as a greatgrandma you rocked the world. The love you had for my children was unbelievable. You were never referred to as greatgrandma Turner, instead you were grandma T. The passing of grandpa was so hard on them. The loss of you has devistated them. Cory continues to pick up the phone and check on you. She dials the number before she realizes that you will not answer. Our Saturday lunches with talk that would surely curl the toes of most grandmas gave you such smiles and laughter that we will remember for the rest of our lives. Whitney is positive that you are now picking out her babies and that grandpa is helping you. I am left with a hole. So many years we had together. You both stood with me through the rough times in my life and had unconditional love for me, even when what I was doing was wrong. Rest now my lovely little lady. The smell of pies and candy will soon envelope the heavens. Thanks so much to Leann. What a treasure to have in our family. She has given us the peace of mind to keep going with our own lives and to care for our grandma in a way that was above and beyond that of a Hospice Nurse. She became part of our small family and will be treasured. Without you Leann......Grandma would have been lost. She loved and cared for you till the end. Bill, Thanks so much for giving her hope again. She was angry with Heavenly Father for taking everyone but her. The talks you had were a mainstay for her. The comfort you offered was her inspiration. Both you and Leann have a true calling working with these special people during their last days here on earth. Thanks to Alan for his sweet comments in the guest book. MUAH We love you. Stay safe and keep your small family close. Thanks to Bill and Charlene Jolley. Indeed good friends as well as relatives. I will never forget your kind words offered up to the heavens on behalf of grandpa. My love and thanks to everyone who had a friendship with grandma and grandpa. You were truly blessed to know them and I know they loved you too. I love you Grandma. Rest easy in the arms of your loved ones. Tanya Snyder and Corey Dawson.

I am so grateful for the many special memories that I have of my Grandma Turner. She was such a special woman. She was a woman of many talents, and she was always eager to share those talents with those around her. As I grew older, I began to not only see her as my grandmother, but also as my friend; she was my little buddy. Countless hours of crocheting, cards, and chatting will be missed, but I am so grateful for the wonderful times that we shared together. Grandma was a beautiful woman inside and out, and it gives me such joy to think of the happiness that she must now be experiencing.
I love you Grandma!

Jewel was always my favorite Aunt. I always felt a connection with her. I'll miss seeing her sweet and mischevious smile. She once told me that even though Don had passed away years ago, she still expected to see him sitting next to her whenever she turned her head. They were always like "peas and carrots" and I hope they are together now. My best wishes to Judy, Val, Tanya, Shelly, and the rest of the family.

Grammy-
I am so happy that you got your Chirstmas wish, but so sad to see you go. My heart hurts and i feel at times i just cant go on. I know you wouldnt want me to feel this way and i know that you have always wanted us to be happy. Knowing this i will keep my shoulders back and my chin up......knowing that you are there helping me along the way. I will miss our Saturday lunches, our funny and so inappropriate talks, your hugs and kisses, your giggle and smile and most of all your kind and sweet spirit. I love you far more than you will ever know.
Please take care of my babies until they come down here with us, and dont let Grandpa teach them any of his naughty tricks.
I love you Grammy.......I love you oh so much!!!

DEAR FAMILY MEMBERS,
YOUR MOTHER & FATHER WERE SO DEAR TO US. WE LAUGHED AND CRIED TOGETHER. WE WILL TRULY MISS JEWEL BUT WE KNOW THAT SHE IS WHERE SHE WANTS TO BE. SHE MISSED DON SO VERY MUCH.
JEWEL WAS SUCH A TALENTED & GIVING PERSON. WE WERE THE RECIPIENCE OF MANY ITEMS THAT SHE CROCHETED, HER CARMELS WERE THE BEST. JEWELL & DON WERE VERY SPECIAL TO OUR CHILDREN AS WELL.
WE KNOW THAT JEWELL LOVED HER FAMILY VERY MUCH, AND WE EXTEND OUR HEART FELT SYMPATHY TO EACH OF YOU.
   LOVE,

Dear Family,
There are truly not enough words to express the way I feel about Jewel. She has become a very important part of my life, and my family's lives, and I feel such a hole in my heart at her passing. I am so grateful that I was Jewel's friend. She has taught me so much. I am also grateful that I was able to care for Don during his last months on the earth. That experience only made my my friendship with Jewel stronger. Thank you for trusting me. I truly will miss her sweet little home, her caramels, her crochet work, her patience in teaching me to crochet, her porcelain doll collection, her love for shopping, her love for all of you and the love she has shown to me, and mine, over the past few years. I do pray that our Heavenly Father will guide and bless each of you through this difficult time and pray that you will love and appreciate each other a little more because of this experience. I love you all!
